I had a wonderful afternoon at the Annual Egyptian Festival. The booths were great with lots of interesting and special things for sale. The food booths were amazing and I brought home some good Egyption food. Yummo! The tours of the church were very special, with lots of beautiful information about their beliefs and culture. I would say my favourite thing about the festival was getting to talk to the church members, who were manning the booths on a very hot day. They were cheerfully and cordially spreading their faith 🙏 with joy, enthusiasm and warm and welcoming smiles. With all the unrest thats going on this year in America and indeed the world over, we can all agree that the safe and faith-filled haven I experienced at St. Mary Coptic Orthodox Church was for-sure, the place to be.
