Taqueria Maria — Restaurant in Roseville

This was absolutely the worst lunch experience we have had at a taqueria. This was the first time both myself and my friend have eaten here. We got to the counter. The woman behind the counter stood and stared at us and I said hello. The woman stood there with a blank look on her face and said nothing. Right away I order the carnitas cuz that's what I order every time I eat at a taqueria. I asked if she had beer as she pointed to the case behind her. She asked me if I wanted corn or flour tortillas I said corn my friend ordered the chimichanga once we were at the tablethe woman asked my friend what type of meat would she like a my friend said shredded beef she said they did not have shredded beef they had steak or carnitas my friend chose carnitas. We were charged $33 for two beers and two plates of food. The food arrived and I could tell right away that the carnitas was old and dried out attached you will find a picture. We both agreed that the carnitas was bad very bad and the guacamole was watery. I was served in order of flour tortillas. I return the flower and sat back down and I was told my tortillas were sitting on the counter. We both we're unable to eat our meals the carnitas was so dry it was painful to eat and unable to chew.we sat at the table with our full plates of food and finish our beers I then proceeded to the counter with both plates of food and ask for my money back. She declined the refund. She said if I would have returned it right away that she would have done. Declining my refund while sitting there stuffing her mouth with the cook while her children sat at another table playing. The woman was rude and cold and...

Not sure if this is the same ownership or change management that the service was very bad I ended up ordering $42 worth of things to eat and my girlfriend had a alcoholic drink that was never served to her the lady in the front that was taking to order a question her about her ID which was totally legit and continue to belittle her because she looks younger than she is what's his discrimination?! How do I text a long for food which wasn't bad but I ended up getting food poisoning as well as my girlfriend the following day. The salsa bar that is totally drained there is nothing in it she supposedly told me she was going to go make some new stuff she bought out some salsa. Wasn't bad that looks like it came out of a jar at your local food store and had an attitude the entire time I was there and not to mention she chose to not do her job but walk over to another table of people and sit down while I was standing there waiting for her she continued to talk to her friends ignoring me the entire time I was trying to just get items that she forgot on my menu that I ordered. I used to love this place they've done great service and great food but I don't know what happened and I will not be going back there again that's why I chose to give this...

Let me start by saying that I have only had their burritos. I really like the shrimp burrito that they have and the others are good too. I had a shrimp burrito a few days ago and wanted to order a second, but that was just my taste buds in overload. Overall, if you are looking for good food, this place is great. The facilities can use a face lift, but that does not affect my judgment. I grade on the quality of the food I have received. The wait time can also be a factor to consider and their t8 lights were out in a few fixtures. I run a business myself, so I notice these things. I make sure that my facility is always clean, well lit and welcoming. They can definitely improve in that area. The woman at the front is very friendly. She does her best to be friendly and seems to genuinely care. If something is not quite right, just tell her, like I did. I understand the challenges a family owned business faces and well, I will say the food is great, the building not soo much. If you want good food, come here.
