Jeff, thank you for your effort in attempt to explain why this might have happened when I brought my gold in to sell. I appreciate that your family business has been successful for a long period of time. However, although it is a 'family' business does not necessarily mean it is an honest business. I did inform the staff of my desire to return the diamonds to me, and they did......about half of them.....The representative at your 'family' business said she did not 'see' the other diamonds left in my jewelry. Isn't this what you do EVERY day? With magnification? She didn't see them? Come on... Furthermore, after I left the store feeling like I was almost taken advantage of, I did call and speak with a woman who said she was, I believe, the owner of the store. I don't recall hearing an apology, only defending herself and the employee who didn't 'see' the diamonds. Perhaps this is why your 'family' business is successful....if you take just a few gems from people like me on a regular basis, it can become quite an accumulation! I would be sure your staff are being more careful in what they are doing EVERY day, people like me tell all their friends and family about these experiences so that they may be saved from being taken advantage of also. They greet you as you come in the door and then ask if they can help you with anything special. If you tell them you're looking for something specific, they look for it with you and if they don't have it, they offer catalogs to search through and will order it for you. If you are just browsing they leave you alone, but if they notice you looking through the display at something for more than a short time, they quickly pick up on your interest and are right there to ask what they can show you.

If you leave without purchasing anything, they are very friendly as they wish you a good day and invite you to return again. They also tell you what new items they are and what day they expect them to arrive
