I bought a sofa and loveseat set from here (about 3 years ago), and it has not held up well at all. It has been the worst furniture Iāve ever owned. It started showing wear and tear shortly after getting it. The foot rests on the recliners wore thin quickly, and it was like propping your feet up in a piece of bare plywood- it cut into our legs. The material ripped in many different places. There were wood pieces jabbing out on the back and staples sticking out. When we sat down on it, there was a piece of wood that would jab us in the back. The sofa had a huge gap between the 2 big back parts- which is not how it was supposed to be. It was delivered that way. It was the most uncomfortable couch. We reached out to Peterās Family Living and were told to file a claim through Guardsman- which we had paid extra to be able to have things covered. Thatās been about a month and Guardsman still has yet to do anything. When we call to follow up, itās foreigners who canāt understand us or help us. We havenāt gotten anywhere with them. Itās a joke! Weāve reached out to Peterās Family Living and were made to feel like Doug would take care of us if Guardsman didnāt. He told my husband that. Well, now he has excuses as to why they canāt- of course. They donāt seem to care about their customers, so they donāt care about their business, apparently. This set was a set of Ashley furniture but has been the worst. It is made very cheaply and poorly. We will never buy from them again. We will take our business down the road next time to Good Deal Charlieās- who has better prices and excellent customer service! I would not recommend anyone buy from Peterās Family Living if you want quality furniture and good customer service.
**I just received an email from Guardsman. They will not cover any of the damage on our couches. It seems that they donāt cover any damage as they play it off as something completely different. Basically you pay money for an insurance to do absolutely nothing.
My husband and I turned the couches over last night to look at some things. Theyāre basically hollow, plywood boxes with material cheaply stapled to cover. Terrible quality. If others received the same furniture we did, theyāre not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOur family has been shopping at Peters Family Living for many years. We love the atmosphere of the store, and how we are always treated. The entire staff is always friendly, courteous, and helpful. The sales associate that we always go to is James Wyre. James always does a fantastic job. He is very good about explaining every step of the process. His ultimate concern is making sure that the customer is satisfied with their purchase. James is also great about follow up after the sale. We always shop at Peters Family Living because of their willingness to work with the customer, regardless of their financial situation. Whether you are spending thousands of dollars, or you are making payments through financing, every customer is treated the same. From the initial sale to the delivery and setup, you can always count on Peters Family Living to do an...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have done business with Peters for over 10 years but have found their product quality slowly going down hill. I have a couch Iāve only had for a year with more holes and unthreading fabric than I care to count and theyāve already did fabric repair once. A chair thatās also doing the same. After 10 years, sure, but not a year! And Iām still paying on them. A washer that Iām still paying for that already needs a motherboard replacement and surprise surprise just ran out of warranty. Did I mention itās only been a year and Iām still paying for this stuff.
I enjoy working with Amy and the staff and have always been satisfied until the last couple of years. Hate to see it happen but going to have to find another local...
