Typically I am one to put a lot of thought and planning into selecting a restaurant when we travel and are in a new place. Due to some unfortunate circumstances we found ourselves desperate to find a place for dinner on a Saturday night. Not having a lot of time I went to Google maps and searched Restaurants. Pasta Grill came up, was one of the closer choices and looked like it would be good. Good enough, we sat out for the restaurant which I believe was to be about a 40 minute drive.
We arrived and saw people waiting outside to be seated, a good sign to see a busy restaurant when blindly looking for a good place to eat. We were also hungry by then and ready for dinner! We talked to the hostess who had a kind demeanor and she said the wait was 30 to 40 minutes. Not having many other options and the restaurant looking cozy we decided to wait. Only 20 minutes later the hostess came and took us to our seat. Quickly we met our server Lindsey. Lindsey quickly apologized for our wait. (20 minute wait, we were actually delighted on a Saturday night to only wait 20 minutes) We both quickly appreciated Lindsey’s sweet and kind professionalism as she took our drink order. Lindsey quickly brought our drinks and wonderful warm garlic bread and dipping sauce and took our order. Again she quickly returned with our salads. The salads were crisp and fresh, the house made dressings delicious! Just as we finished our salads our entrees arrived! The food looked fantastic, better yet was warm, fresh, and tasted amazing!! We love Italian, have enjoyed many great restaurants and the food stood up with some of the best!!! End of story I would have thought. Great food, wonderful vibe, perfect service, bring the check story over right?
I felt compelled to just sincerely thank Lindsey for really taking care of us. Then Lindsey opened up and shared a little about the restaurant, the owners, and the vibe (which we noticed in everyone we came in contact with working there.) Lindsey used words like love, kindness, and peace in her work environment. She loves working there and it shows! Her story was warm and touched us. Lindsey was sincere and left us not only having one of the best Italian meals we have ever had, but also with a feeling of hope and inspiration. We sat out looking for a good meal and ended up feeling blessed and satisfied!
I hope everyone continues to support this GREAT restaurant and ask for Lindsey, she is amazing and special at what she does! Thank You Pasta Grill and thanks Lindsey for your great service and inspiration! We truly hope to be back when we are in the area and hope Lindsey will be there!

Read moreIt was a thrill to get to eat at Ppasta Grill again. Pre 2011 I came here often, one of my very favorite places. The service was wonderful. We arrived a little after noon and had about a 6 minute wait for a table for two. Everyone, staff and patrons were smiling. Atmosphere was definitely still private with the dark wood and real linen napkins I found in all Italian restaurants when I visited Italy. The menu was extensive and priced in line with similar establishments. However my memory (and my eyes as I glanced around) told me, and I shared with our server that it would be way to much food for old ladies (71&90) to eat and we had errands before we went home. I ask if they a a senior or children's menu we could order from. She quickly brought us one.. i was extatic to find 7 pasta selections before the hotdog and other children's item. Even ordering children's it came with their wonderful garlic bread and some marinara dipping sauce. It was still a little more than we could eat so we decided to forgo desert.
The restroom was clean and easy to find. Everything was basically ADA. But that brings us to the negatives. The city is very upscale and put in the red brick pedestrian walkways. They are already uneven a decoding mor difficult if you have to cross a stree. Which you will probably have to. There was no parking in the same block even though we circled twice and have handicapped plates. Furthermore the city is doing some lovely curved Parkside corners, taking out at least 8 parking places right where you would expect handicapped parking to be. Next time I will be sure to go either an hour earlier or later. But Pasta Grill has no control over that and it is not food. I only gave the food 4 stars because it did not hold up to my memory. I had the Fettuccine Alfredo. I am pretty sure the changed the cheese in the cheese sauce. I believe it was white cheddar now. It was good but not as good as the combination of old. It could be they only used that on the children's as they would be familiar with it or that my taste buds have changed and dentures interfere. As I said. It was good, just didn’t match my memory. Next time I will stick with a marinara as it...
Read moreI will say this place has great food and absolutely excellent service most of the time I visit. But the past few times I've gone I've made a reservation so wait time would be non-existent or at least very very minimal. Or so you would think that would be the case anyways the first time was about a month or so ago I made a reservation, arrived and then was kept waiting for about 20 minutes I thought to myself "no big deal just a off night" it did however having that wait when a reservation was made. Then last night I called around the 5:30pm to make a reservation for 2 at 7pm and then was told that that time might be a little too late for them so I was like no problem I can move it up to 6:30 if that works better for you and they told me that they would give me call if things get busy and it looks like we can push it back to 7pm. Never received a call, so I arrive at 6:30 with people absolutely gushing out the door and I call to make sure my table is ready and to let them know I'm there since there's no way I'm getting inside the door and they tell me that they're running a little behind that they'll give me a call when my table is ready so I run down the road and come back and all the people trying to get in the door are gone I'm left to assume they have all been seated and I still haven't received a call. So I go ahead in and ask about my table and then I hear the hostess say "I put that woman head of them" confirming at least one set of customers were put ahead of me when I made a reservation. I then continued to wait even longer. All in all I didn't get seated till about 50 minutes after my reservation and then was seated at a table that was constantly flooded with cold air from the door making it hard to enjoy the meal.
So pretty much a reservation doesn't mean anything here so don't bother with it because it seems like they don't care.
I may just have some bad luck but to happen twice in a row is enough for me. I'm sorry about the bad review. You have great food and a great wait staff, but the process of actually getting seated ruins the...
