What a terrible first experience. Never have shopped at Aldi before, and this was our first visit. The atmosphere felt very run down, dirty, and unkept. We were also shocked that they had stacked fertilizer in the produce aisle. The person at the checkout didn't seem to want to interact with us, but only with her friend in the next checkout aisle. Additionally - somebody even stole the eco-friendly bags we brought to use for our groceries!
This is surprising, as we are avid shoppers of Trader Joes, which is owned by Aldi. Trader Joes has a much more friendlier - and cleaner - environment than Aldi.

Meats pork, poultry shelves discarded attention b(tween) shift changes .Bread tossed about as well as produce. Pulling freezer case at 7:30pm prior to closing seems employees want to clock out @ 9pm. Read moreAldi is one of my favorite grocery stores. I usually do not buy meat here personally, or eggs, but overall their aldi brand merchandise is great. My family is obsessed w the aldi brand granola bars, they have great deals on produce, and everything is extremely affordable. The employees are helpful and I love that they reuse the merchandise boxes for customers to pack their goods in. So much better for the environment! Also, its great that they try to keep 80% or more of their aldi products made without a lot of the harmful junk a lot of processed foods have....
