I wish I could rate this higher. I ordered a crepe to-go. The bananas were terribly under-ripe and unpleasant to eat, and the strawberries were rather bitter. I had my husband try to make sure I wasn't crazy and he urged me to call the restaurant and explain the situation.
I get very anxious about making a fuss and creating unpleasant situations for people (like making a complaint about food). I first talked with a nice woman who transferred me to a gentleman, who I assume was the manager. After recounting the situation to him he explained they had just gotten their food delivery in and that they must have supplied under ripe fruit. He offered to run to the store, buy fruit, remake the dish and deliver it to me (I'm local). I told him I didn't want to put him out anymore than I had already, but he insisted.
Not 15 mins later the same gentleman (I think, the voices matched to me) kindly delivered and apologized again. I'm sitting here with the crepes in front of me untouched (I did try the fruit and they are great) because I needed to get this review written. I'm blown away by the consideration and kindness. My thought was that I just wanted them to know about the fruit so that they'd be aware and could deal with the issue before someone else could make a larger and more problematic stink about it.
I've never had a bad experience here, dining in or out, but I have to say that this was probably the most touching and compassionate one I've ever had with...
Read moreHonestly I try my best to not give constructive feedback. However between my waitress who I felt that she just didn't even want myself and my little 4 year old son with me at her table. I tried to win her over with common courtesy please, thank you eye contact smiling at her but nothing. Felt like my son and I were a burden to be sat in her section. I get it we all have bad days and the restaurant business is extremely stressful. Then hearing from the kitchen not sure if it was the chef or manager yelling at his staff. F-ing them saying he is going to physically going f-ing throw out one of his cooks out of the restaurant. I mean I get it it is stressful but come on don't treat your staff like that and scream in a semi open kitchen concept that your guest can hear you screaming at them. That is not being a leader. The person who rang me up at the register just didn't really pay attention to my feedback and brushed it off. I hope it was just an off day for everyone there but it wasn't even busy. Just smile and give common courtesy back. Good luck hope you all improve and have...
Read moreWe have eaten at Brunch Cafe in Roselle many times and it was amazing so today I ordered from the Huntley location and spent $80, had it delivered through Door Dash. The potato custed omelet is terrible and the garden omelet was no better. My kids enjoyed the egg sliders and the cheeseburger but I will never order from there again. The potatoes on around the omelet were raw and not what it looked like in the photo at all. I thought it was going to be mashed potatoes but it was actually about 3lbs of undercooked, wet shredded potatoes (hash browns) I had to peel them off and in doing so lost the cheese. Then, there was so much sausage it was so overwhelming that I couldn't taste anything else. I'd rather feed it to my dog. Now I need to find something to make at home. Thanks a lot, whomever sent these awful dishes....
