We have only lived in Rutland for 2 years and when we first tried their sandwiches we were very pleased⦠not so much anymore. We have been to them at least 6 or 7 times and vow never to return. On numerous occasions I have had brown lettuce in my sandwich. They tend to stuff the sandwich but when you take a bite it falls out because they overstuffed it. All that aside, my biggest complaint is they they always leave something out of the sandwich when I request it be added. This has happened numerous times to me. I request Mayo⦠they leave it out,. Today my husband ordered an Italian and asked for oil and again, it was completely dry. One time when I ordered a sandwich I told the person who took my order that the last time they forgot the Mayo so plz make sure not to forget again. Guess what ? They did! My nephew ran a sandwich shop that I worked in for 15 years so I know how to make a good sandwich. I also know how to put the filling in a wrap without the wrap falling apart. I know they usually have young people making the sandwiches..maybe they need to be trained a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place is a godsend!! Instead of driving 15 minutes into Holden, or 20 minutes into Gardner, this place has everything you might need and more and it's clean and good quality. This is convenience, but elevated. The produce is fresh, there is prepared deli stuff, the staff even provide their own freshly made baked goods. Oh and alcohol of every kind! I can make a healthy meal from scratch, or just buy a ready-made meal if I don't have time. The owners are everything you want from a local mom-and-pop shop. They are reliably always open. These guys work so hard to provide for Rutland. They treat you like friends and listen to the customers, especially if you want something you think would benefit the store. The rest of the staff is also so friendly and genuine. And every time I walk in there I start singing along to whatever jams they got playing on the radio. Someone has good taste over there! I'd rather shop here than anywhere else to be honest - it's basically an extension of my home....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreReally horrifying place. When I was in there, someone was trying to buy alcohol and gave her ID to the guy behind the counter. He started scrutinizing the ID, asking her to give each piece of information, and then started saying uncomfortable stuff about the picture not looking like her. After the customer answered all the questions, the psycho behind the counter made a bigoted comment about how she āhadnāt updated her ID since she transitioned.ā The customer had already paid and just had to say āIām a womanā and leave. I canāt even imagine how someone working with the public could confidently say something so prejudiced and aggressive towards a customer. Iām never going back here and recommend other people...
