Inconsistent and poor customer service. I bought a cake for a party for roughly $90. It was elaborately decorated and beautiful, in the SAME EMAIL for ordering I scheduled another cake for my son for his birthday. For half the price of the first cake we got, we received a cake planning on only feeding a few with decoration like I would expect to get from Hannafords or Walmart for less the cost! and a printed picture of lightning McQueen placed in the cake with skewers and tape and the printer was clearly running out of ink. When going in for pick up on this cake they admitted it wasn’t done yet and threw it together. The price did not reflect the size or quality of the cake. When later confronted (someone picked this up for me so I contacted later) it was “my fault” the decorations weren’t elaborate even though in the same email both cakes were planned and expected to be of same quality. Nothing was ever done to right their wrong and I don’t feel like the service was kind or understanding. My son looked forward to that cake for weeks and it was an absolute letdown and waste of money. My husband and I hired Baked for our wedding which was peak season in October. Elena, the head pastry chef and owner , was amazing. She kept in touch with us and made sure we were 100% sure on our flavors and what we wanted to order. She gave us so many options for our cake and various other desserts we could get. We ended up with an amazing 2 layer apple spice cake with cinnamon filling and vanilla buttercream which came out so good. We also got a few different flavors of cupcakes and by far the best thing they have, apple cider donut board. Before the main food was even served the apple cider donuts were all gone. Her talent is truly unmatched. Every dessert she’s made has been as delicious as it is beautiful. For our wedding, not only was our cake absolutely perfect, but she also went the extra mile by making gluten-free cupcakes for one of our guests.
