This is the longest review I have ever written but I feel obligated to share the phenomenal experience I had with Casa de Oro.
When I was 10 years old, my grandmother gave me a gold chain and 2 gold pendants that belonged to my grandfather after he had passed away. These pieces of jewelry hold extreme sentimental value to me due to the fact that my grandfather was the only father-figure I had in my life.
In the 17 years since I was gifted these heirlooms, the only times I have not worn them occurred during occasions where it was mandatory that I couldn't, such as a sporting event.
A few months ago, I was gifted with another pendant as a surprise from my Nana and mother. I was ecstatic to have another heirloom that would remind me of and make me feel close to someone I loved so much. Unfortunately, the hook/clasp of the pendant was just barely too small to attach to my chain.
After reading positive reviews here on Google, I reached out to Casa de Oro and spoke with an employee (can't remember his name unfortunately) who was very polite and courteous. I arrived at the store a few hours later and they remembered me. When I showed them my pendant and chain, they told me that all they needed to do was stretch the clasp/hook in order for it to fit on my chain.
She grabbed a tool, stretched the hook/clasp right in front of me, and in less than 1 minute my grandpa's pendant was hanging from the chain I will never take off.
When I attempted to pay, she told me that I didn't need to. I was astounded by this act of generosity. I have had jewelry repaired at other stores in Sacramento that would not have hesitated to charge me $50+ for something that they fixed in roughly 30 seconds.
To show my gratitude for their kindness, I ended up purchasing an FC Barcelona hat at their store because very few stores treat customers the way Casa de Oro does.
This business has great reviews for a reason and that is because they are kind and run their business in an ethical and moral manner that most businesses lack these days. I would not have written this lengthy but honest review had they not.
If you want to purchase jewelry or need to have your jewelry repaired, please give Casa de Oro your business. They truly have your best interest at heart and I can't thank them enough for what they did for me.
Don't just take my word for it - look at the other reviews! With the exception of one review where the person did not explain the rating they gave, even after being reached out to by the owners, customers have had nothing but positive experiences.
Thanks, Casa de Oro, for what you did for me and reminding me that there are still businesses out there who look out for your best interest instead of trying to drain every penny they...
Read moreI’ve been to Casa De Oro a couple of times in the past for jewelry repair and purchasing. The staff have always been kind, and helpful not pushy at all- very professional and help you find something with in your budget. Today I went in to have a silver chain tested. And to have them buy some of my broken jewelry turned out my 10k gold ring could be salvaged so I can’t wait for them to repair it and get it back. Over all I would definitely recommend coming in and taking a look at their items if you are looking for a great purchase and price or if you’re looking to repair an existing item! Thankyou for being honest and kind, I...
Read moreComing to this place was a horrible experience. Not only was I ignored and pushed past, I also was told that my check was not cashable for 3 extremely outrageous reasons. Turns out the Hispanic community once again has made way to be rude and outcast other communities for absolutely NO REASON.
They are racist and I say that genuinely. They are rude and I say that honestly I will never return to such an awful establishment and I will NEVER refer anyone to such a hateful place.
I really don't want to give this place a star. It needs to close down or go to a county where they can only service their people....
