We came here on Easter Sunday and it was so busy, but not sure if that’s how it typically is because it was so good! I’m used to pan dulce from east LA so I am always looking for amazing pan. We got there later so we missed a lot of the best ones like fresh bolillo and cuernitos, but did get our hands on some conchas, churros, and empanadas. These were all sooo good, so much flavor and couldn’t wait until my next cafecito to have one.
The staff was super friendly and helpful and they appreciated our business - I support my people where I can!! Anyways, highly recommend and one day may make it out early so I can try some more of their amazing pan dulce. Also, it’s a little market where you can buy chips, sweets, tortillas, and some refrigerator items like milks and Mexican cheeses. There’s a bakery where you can order cakes, flans, chocoflans, y gelatinas. Truly felt...
Read moreWent in after calling their bakery and no answer! When we went in, there were 3-4 ladies behind the merchandise, there were only 4 people in line, my husband and I, a man a woman. There was woman being assisted then the next woman, we were next but no one was helping us, they were looking at me. I’m a Pacific Islander, with short blue hair! The ladies behind the merchandise was looking at me but not helping me! Then I asked if they’re going to assist me, one of them told me I have to get in line and told her I was, no one assisted me even though the lady who is being help at the time I was next!! So very rude! I can’t imagine that your Hispanic and you’re being discriminatory! I hope you read this first before you to this bakery as the ladies/sales people are very rude!! Shame on you !! Never will come shopping at...
Read moreOne has to come prepared for them not to have whatever baked good you are hoping for because some days they have it and other days the baker deems to have decided not to bake it. Their ovens appear to need some maintenance too because far too often a quarter of the items being sold are over baked, especially the conchas (I also avoid those because they are very heavy, dry things, nothing like you’d get in Veracruz or DF). During the wintertime I wish I could get champurrado each visit but there’s no rhyme or reason to which days they will have it and which they do not. Counter staff seemed just as lost as to why it is prepared on a regular basis. Regardless, of the over baking & inconsistency, their baked goods are far tastier than those sold at the bakery a couple blocks to the north. Lastly, the staff are...
