If I could give less than one star I would.
I’m unbelievably disappointed in the service. I came here because I’ve heard that they do acrylics very well. I called an hour before arriving to see if I could make an appointment and she told me that they only did walk-ins so I thought “ok that’s fine”. I then left where I drove 30 mins to sign my name on their list I was in the 8th spot. They told me the wait was an hour and I thought that’s fine so I got something to eat and sat there waiting in my car because the business is extremely small and cramped therefore there was no where to sit. I never get a call so after an hour and a half passed I call and they tell me it will be 30-45 mins so I patiently wait. I then 38 mins later get a call that they are ready. I walk back inside and they sit me and my friend down I wait 45 minutes in a chair where no one comes up to help. I then ask the person in the sit next to me who has had time to finish a girls nails and start working on the next to where I watched her apply tips and begin shaping and coloring before I ever say anything. I simply ask if anyone is going to come help us. She looked clueless and directed me to speck with someone at the front desk. I then ask the man why no one has seen us and he tells me then that there is one person ahead so I think “okay” so I sit back and wait. At this point another time 10 minutes pass and I’ve seen over 5 people get started after they’ve walked in. Out of these 5 people were and mother and daughter duo, I thought the kid was cute and all but a nail tech pulls her a stool where she starts painting her nails less than 3 feet in front of me ( yes literally on a stool in front of me who I am sitting in one of those pedicure chairs). So I get up again and walk to the front where I get there “list of clients” and I see that know there are 26 names and I’m still written 8 on that list. I see that at least 8 names under mine were crossed out. I point to them and ask how they were seen before I was. Since I do recall him said “there’s one person ahead of you”. A tech jumped in to point out to me that some people were appointments. So I’m left wondering what do u mean appointments. So I do then notice there are people who checked in as “walkins” or “appointments”. 6 of the people who were long after us were all walkins so I then start circling with a pen where we were in the list and that we were “walkins” and that all the people under us who were checked off were also (as I circled) “walkins”. I then ask how this has happened because at this point it’s been longer than 3 hours. The woman at the front then says “you can either wait or leave”. I go back to my chair because now it’s 4:30 so most salons close at 6 or 7 so if I do go somewhere else I have a risk of not being seen at all. More time keeps passing so I leave. My whole day is now wasted. This was my only day off and my whole day was ruined because of this establishment or whatever they want to call themselves.
If the gas wasn’t enough the time was and the fact I didn’t even get them done... how disappointing. They never bothered to apologize and that I feel is terrible customer service.
Not to mention while I was there I noticed how disgusting the place was and how unorganized they...
Read moreI wanted to try a new location to get a pedicure. I called first while sitting in the parking lot to make sure they were not busy. This was approx. 1150 -ish A.M. on a Friday. The receptionist informed me that they were not busy. I checked in on the machine at the front with my cell number. She told me I would be at 22. My pedicurist, Mina, came and sat down and started getting the station ready. I sat down and took my shoes and socks off and waited for her to put the plastic on the bowl before placing my feet on foot rest. She started filling the bowl with water and asked what I wanted and handed me the menu. I choose The Luxury Pedicure $38 with a white, gel set +$15.
Mina was nice and very quiet which I didn't mind. I watched the TV and played a game on my phone. I fixed the recliner to go back and extend back more because I am tall, and I wanted to be able to massage my lower back while getting a pedicure. Once settled, Mina started working on my pedicure, another employee came and adjusted the recliner I was sitting in and informed me that it will break by reclining. I responded that it's a recliner and left it like that. The seat was in good shape, and it was a recliner and what I thought it was designed to do. I have one at my house and that's how it works. No worries though.
Another concern was upon leaving I was not offered the foam slides you get when you purchase a pedicure. I usually bring my sandals or wear sandals in, but I forgot. Mina informed me that they didn't have any(she shook her head no) and that I had gel polish so it would not smug. Okay but I didn't want to put my socks and shoes on my beautiful pedicure she just did. As I am jotting this issue in my cell phone notes along with the earlier issue, Mina started pulling the towel off the foot rest while my feet were still resting on it. They were not busy, and I was quick so no rush. Then Mina pulls out a green pair of the foam slides. Oh! you do have them; you didn't want to provide me a pair. I believe because I purchased a pedicure (and didn't have my own sandals) I would get the foam slides. I never thought that would be an issue going to a nail shop and getting a pedicure and they don't have the foam slides. I'm not sure how long Art Nails has been open but it's foam slides. By this time, I knew I would never come back.
Art Nails is just like any other nail establishments so I will explore another one. Parking lot was packed. I parked in front of the bar and grill. I was not offered a drink (I did walk in with a granola bar and water bottle). I decided to not tip but provide this review. This was not the relaxing lunch time experience I intended it...
Read more(ZERO STARS) I’ve been going to this salon for months enduring their rude unprofessional behavior simply because of the low prices. The nail tech that usually did my nails, her work was awesome and that’s another reason I stayed that long. However, she was rude. You couldn’t tell her anything (likes, dislikes, changes etc.) she always had an attitude. The receptionist (one with the glasses and swollen feet) THE RUDEST, UNPROFESSIONAL, NO MANNERS having person I’ve ever met in this industry. She treats people like dirt and she does it because she knows she wouldn’t be reprimanded for her actions. Ty is the manager and he watches her do everything she does and says absolutely nothing. I have witnessed clients complain right in front of him and ask for management and he gives them his name with them not knowing that when they call back it’s actually to speak with him. He is sitting right there and would never address the issue at hand. Then when the complaining client leaves they talk and laugh about it in their language. It’s so offensive how they talk about you right to your face. A blind person would know it’s being done. As soon as you request something or seem to have an issue they all start speaking to each other in their language and sometimes laughing. It’s so rude. I talk about them right in front their faces in my accent as well, since this is what we do in this place. The wait times are unbelievable. You can make an appointment or don’t and you’ll still have to wait a tremendously long time. The prices were so good that people still came, as did I. However, the prices have gone up. They treat their customers even worse now because their clientele is getting even bigger so I guess they feel like they have so much more coming to lose a couple wouldn’t hurt much. I also have witnessed them adding acetone to their acrylic liquid, which I do not trust. I don’t know if it’s a stretching agent or an activating agent but I’ve worked as a nail technician for years and have never used any products that required acetone to be added to acrylic liquid. Don’t waste your gas going all the way to Saginaw to be mistreated. They don’t care about anyone, they do not have any valued customers. We are just a few dollars to them. If people stop going then maybe they’ll appreciate what customer service really means. It only works when the business feels it in...
