I thoroughly enjoyed this sewing class and would highly recommend it to anyone interested in learning. Madee was incredibly knowledgeable and demonstrated excellent teaching skills throughout the sessions. What impressed me the most was her patience, she took the time to ensure everyone understood each step before moving forward. Madee's confident and knowledgeable explanations made everything feel approachable. Her positive attitude created a welcoming learning environment that encouraged questions and experimentation. The class size was perfectly balanced, small enough that each student received individual attention and guidance, but large enough to create a collaborative learning atmosphere. Having that one-on-one time with Madee was invaluable for improving my confidence and getting personalized feedback. I came here for a beginners sewing class and was helped start to finish which made the experience not only filled with lots of learning but also stress-free! Madee helped me initially with fabric and thread choices and Shannon taught the 2 day class. It was incredible and filled with lots of fun and laughs!!! I walked away with more fabric and another pattern to try to sew on my own (with much help choosing again by both Shannon and Madee!)

Came back recently to start another project and I know I keep singing praises but it cannot be stated enough how warm and welcoming the shop is made by Madee. She helped answer questions and provided me so many tips. The class and her are totally the reason why I keep learning!! I was referred to Open Sewing Studio, as I was looking for a private lesson to help me complete a self-drafted pants pattern. Madee was very helpful in arranging a private lesson with an instructor, Lara, for that weekend itself. I had the lesson at the store. Lara was very knowledgeable and helpful in answering all of my questions regarding the pants pattern and other sewing related topics. She listened patiently to my concerns regarding the fit and look of the pants, and gave me solutions and adjustments to make it work. I finally completed the pattern and sewn up the pants.
