My Burger - Uptown — Restaurant in Minneapolis

I've always thought this place didn't get enough attention and also I never got here enough. Burgers are made to order and you can watch through the glass window if you'd like. My most relevant and recent experience was great: I arrived at a dead hour 3:30pm, and I was the only person in the joint and still massively hungover. Perfection. I ordered the double Cali w/ American & Pepperjack. It ended up coming with (2) slices of each cheese (oops!!). Not that I cared. Also got fries and a drink. They no longer have their craft sauces for people to fill on their own (could be covid thing or stopping the amount of waste which I'm sure was rampant). They have a wonderful chipotle mayo and smoked garlic mayo that are great for the fries. The fries are always crispy and pair well with the fresh juicy burger. The food is brought out to you upon completion which is nice as you don't have to stand around and wait. The burger was juicy and delicious, the soda ice cold and bubbly. I quickly devoured my meal and stoked my trays to return up front as I forgot if you leave them for staff at the table. When in doubt, I always clean up after myself to make staffs life easier. At some point while returning my trays, I had a $20 bill unknowingly fall out of my pocket. As I'm approaching my car in the parking lot, I hear someone say "Sir, is this yours?" I put my hand in my pocket and did not feel the $20 so I turn around and ask if it's a $20 bill, and she days yupppp. I kindly thank her and leave on my merry way as a highly satiated customer and someone who will certainly be back when the time is right. Misleading pricing, small portions and careless staff. I went last night for their 20% off birthday deal for the first time and ordered a meal + onion rings for $18. Would be a more reasonable price if the onion rings didn't cost $5 as a side when the menu lists them at $2.45 and the staff fails to disclose that pricing is only for swapping the fries out with them. It was only after I checked my receipt and asked the staff why they charged me twice the amount that they told me the pricing issue. That still would have been fine if I got a reasonable amount of them, but the picture here is what you get for ordering a $5 "small box of onion rings". I'll never be coming back here again as long as the menu obfuscates true pricing and the staff doesn't tell you the pricing difference when you order. It's dishonest and stingy and while the food and drink was decent it doesn't make up for the business practices on display. If you're coming here, you live in the midwest, and can get better food for the same price pretty much...

Man, there was some glitch with online ordering on my usual order, which has never happened before. There is no trace of the ticket in the kitchen but a full receipt on my phone, at fault of the ordering platform, I assume. The person helping me was dumbfounded but still got it made. And the only thing on my mind is how damn good this burger is. When the food is this good, you simply can not have any complaints.

Seriously good quick eats, everything that fast food is not. Very consistent quality and service among each location, this chains basically unheard of outside of the metro but at their scale they are doing everything right. I'd compare this to something like the original mcdonalds before going national and lowering their quality. Authentic food that is streamlined to be good. Rotating burger of the month and shakes with relevant local themes, it's like they belong here. Also they have beer. Cajun seasoning packs kind of a punch but you can't stop eating it, salty...
