First time coming in here. I'll be skipping this store next time I shop off of 7th. I casually asked how the guys day was going and he went on a small rant to me about how his day pretty much sucked, 'his sister isn't in, people are stealing off the racks outside' and more...I tried to lighten the mood with a joke of me bringing bad luck and he responded that I was.. and he was just "keeping it real". 2 minutes later another person walked in asking the same thing, and he said he was fine in a happy tone. I would go to Bearded Mermaid all the time. This store is alright. They have a nice selection of vintage. My recent experience with their selling and customer service left much to be desired. I brought in a vintage Vikings corduroy hat, valued between $70 to $150, expecting a fair assessment. However, the staff's response was disheartening. great spot to check out, especially on a street that’s filled with numerous local stores w the same vibe. you can definitely find some really cool pieces here and i’d say daily dose retro is a good place to go for fashion inspiration, but not so much as for regular clothes shopping. because it is vintage, i personally do get the feeling that some pieces won’t last long/have been a little too loved (as can be seen through stains, minor holes, etc), and for me, that money i could use for a new shirt isn’t...
