I came to The Mustache Cat for a Candlemaking collab class with Onyx Candles as a gift for my birthday. What a fantastic gift to receive!!! Lots of free parking options nearby & in a convenient location in St Paul. Immediately as I was walking in I fell in love with the colors, selection of goods to search through, and textures everywhere. It’s not overwhelming, but it seems like everywhere you look there’s more to see. It also smells great in the store! Sometimes when I go to curated vintage stores they’re a little out of my budget, but The Mustache Cat really had something for everyone and all price ranges. For example, there was a really sweet almost neon orange retro mushroom lamp for about $130, and across the room there was a cozy vintage ceramic soup bowl for $12. I loved Rebecca’s curated selections, and she was kind, inviting, and helpful. Worth noting is that it can be easy in the space to accidentally bump into things. A couple items took a little tumble while I was there (gasp!!!! Always a scary moment) and it was met with the kind assurance, “we are not a museum, it’s ok!” So nice! One of the unique things about The Mustache Cat is that the inventory is either thrifted and curated by Rebecca or is created by women makers. She had a corporate job before opening TMC and this is her big dream. I can tell looking around that she’s passionate about her business and loves what she does. Great spot for decor, paper goods, candles, and more. Lovely place to find gifts for yourself or someone else! And the stock is ever changing so there’s always a reason to come back ;)

I have so many good things to say about Mustache Cat and the love Rebecca puts into bit, bobble, and well-curated large furniture piece in the place. But that would take forever to list out. So here are some photos of things I have bought that now live in my home with me and some google keywords: Vintage furniture, woman owned, locally owned, furniture store, home decor, candles, books, gifts, gift shop, candle shop, vintage home goods, home goods, vintage, decorations, home, local, handmade, handcrafted

The Mustache Cat is hands the best neighborhood vintage shop for all your gifting and home decorating needs. If you are lucky enough to stop by when the owner Rebecca is there, you will get to hear some of the stories of the amazing women creators she buys from. On occasion, you may also be blessed to cross paths with Bernie, the mustache cat.

I love the Mustache Cat! I visited their booth at Dayton's Holiday Market last December and have been meaning to make it out to their shop in St. Paul for months now. I visited yesterday and it was so delightful!

The owner(s) has done such an amazing job curating the things that they sell in the shop and it's truly one-of-a-kind and you can tell it's a labor of love. There are so many fun and unique gifts that are vintage, made by local creators, and all-around cute! There are also a lot of fun quarter machines to try as well.

I'm sad I didn't get to meet the Mustache Cat but if I'm ever in the area again, I will definitely stop by for a chance at a...
