U Haircuts — Local services in Saint Paul

I usually don’t leave reviews but this experience had me very upset. This is the 3rd time I’ve came here to get my hair cut and the other two times I loved it. Today I came in and the lady that usually cuts my hair was not here, so a different lady did my hair. She was a bit older but I didn’t question it until she started my hair. I immediately noticed things that made it seem like she was inexperienced but I decided to trust the process. I told her I wanted to cut off about 2 inches and she gave me layers which I did not ask for. She also cut it way shorter than requested. She started curling my hair for some reason until I told her if she could straighten it instead. I left paying almost $40 for a hair cut + tipping $7. As soon as I left the store I immediately started crying because of how much I hated my hair and having to pay almost $50 for it. I might as well have cut it at home for free. The U Haircuts is a hidden gem, which is a very lovely little homey place to get your haircut. Both Sue and Sophie do a fantastic job!!
