On our 1st visit to this restaurant, we walked in and was greeted and seated in a very clean and comfortable spot. Within minutes we were brought menus and water for our selections. During that time 3 other parties entered, ordered, served, and were eating before we were ever addressed for our orders. Once our server finally returning and took our order, with no catfish available and that is what i really, wanted, our food selections began to arrive, but not together. By the time the two orders of Snow crab arrived, presentation was okay, a bit on the small and limited amounts but upon touch, both were ice cold after a 15 minute wait. When represented, it look like they had been popped in the microwave and plastic bags placed on top to keep warm. Also, during the wait, it was decided to cancel both orders due to lack of concern for good hot food being presentation in the first place. We asked for containers and bags for our take home food and the server grabbed my daughter food as if she was done to throw it away instead of bringing her a container. He did return with her food wrapped up but that made us all uneasy as to what he did to her food and she left it instead of taking it to enjoy later. We like to package our own food and he didn't ask or suggest that he would do that for us, but snatch her up. We had to wait another 10 minutes for the bill to be presented and processed as well. Once done, and promptly leaving we knew we would never return or refer this restaurant to anyone ever. Again, great location and interior was beautiful and very clean, most food that finally came was hot and good, but the product, which was CRAB 🦀, that they are known for was cold and therefore my family never had an opportunity to even taste it, which is why we came there in the first place.

To end my post, we were a black family wanting to support a restaurant in our community only to be served after 3 white families were seated, served and were eating before they ever came back to sever my family which was a same. Thus is not about race. But they made our visit feel that...

Firstly, I want to explain that this review is a confession. We are Catholic, and we’re not supposed to be eating meat during Lent. We obviously ate meat during Lent, and it was so good, that I had to post a review outing myself. Moreover, we have no business spending this kind of money on eating out in this Donna Trunk economy, but my husband just wanted to make us feel better since we attended a wake and it was my first law school mentor’s funeral yesterday. Therefore, my goal is to impress upon you that if I am compelled to overlook the risk of having nosy parishioners complain to the priest at the Cathedral of Saint Paul about how I ate meat during Lent (they mind everyone’s business but that of the Lord’s), then the food SLAPPED 💥 💥 ❗️

Please, listen and understand that with everything that we ordered, it was well worth the price for the quality, speed, and quantity that we received. This is honestly a hidden gem, because we had NO IDEA that it was there. We used to go to another spot across the light-rail tracks (we stayed loyal after they moved from Dinky Town following COVID lockdowns), but the quality wasn’t there post-pandemic. So we tried the Luscious Crab, and on God, this blew us away. The youngest child went back into the refrigerator on his own after supper last night, and annihilated the spicy shrimp with heads on 🦐. That was specifically mine, because they supposedly don’t like eating things with eyes still on, so I was upset and had to pray about it 😂.

Anyway, the takeout was fast, delicious, easy to pick up…we had a great family night. I have no photos of the food, because of my attempt at hiding that I ate meat during Lent, but I have the emailed receipt. Ordering online was so easy❗️I honestly love this spot. I will try to eat in once we get our paper up 💰. This was just a one-off, and I am thankful that it turned out to be a fantastic...

Price on the crab and shrimp boil was great. Cajun sauce was good. Cajun fries were just fries , waitress said she would bring us the Cajun seasoning, but it was just spicy Mayo. My daughter ordered a po boy From the menu. They brought her a sandwich that was definitely not a po boy, and other than the crab did the new item did not match the description in the menu. She’s a type 1 diabetic and the mismatch of the menu description was a real problem as the carbs were different than what she doses for. When we asked we were told “ oh we don’t have that” and they substituted another item without asking! They offered to replace with a substitute but she had to eat asap so she ate what they brought. The owner came by and showed us how her sandwich looked like a sandwich they have in the online menu. Like that explains it? They kindly comped the sandwich and brought her cheesecake ( which she can’t eat) so we gave it to a sibling. We noticed that the menu said things like “ look at the menu carefully , no refunds if you order wrong”. Lots of strange typos, and the online menu in the in-store menu, do not match. Pictures of sandwiches are not even remotely close. I would recommend this place if you are getting the seafood boil but I would not recommend anything else Because it’s probably not going to be anything like what do you think it’s going to be. Oh, and the wet wipes they gave us… they all said...

Went to Luscious Crab for an early dinner on a Sunday. Parking is a little confusing, ended up parking on University near the market further up in the same group of buildings since pakring meters are free on Sunday. Looked like most other customers were parking on the side street near corner. The customer service was okay, place had a few different 5-6 people tables eating when we came in, and a large 14 person party arrived just as we were coming in, and overall they handled service well. The provide plastic bibs and a box of plastic gloves, and roll of paper towels for the table. The table appropriately had a big sheet of white paper as the setting, as this is messy finger picking food. We had a kids chicken tender meal, lemon pepper wings, calamari, and the family combo seafood boil. The lemon pepper wings had good flavor, they were relatively cheap, overall on the smaller side but decent flavor and good for the price. The calamari was also tasty, had very light breading, cooked well, and the cajun remoulade dipping sauce complimented nicely. The seafood boil combo was good portion for the price, had snow crab, crawfish, shrimp, claims, mussels, sausage, 3 corn, 3 egg, and potatoes. We got the Cajun Sauce with Medium heat. Everything tasted great.
