Searched online for rentals available, and found a 10x15 through Life Storage for $153 a month online on a Friday. Gave me the option to reserve the unit. I received a call from Teresa Adkins letting me know she had received my reservation and I assured her I would be in St. Pete Sat or Sun to complete everything. When I arrived she had the paper she printed with my reservation with the amount on it and showed me. A man walked in during this time which seemed to be a simple wanting to make a payment she made him wait and then proceeded to take me on the property to show me the unit. She took me on a wild goose hunt I feel and never found the unit number. I was getting dizzy walking in circles. We went back to the office and she looked in her computer and we left again to try and find the unit. After two attempts she found the unit and I checked it out. When we went back to the office to finalize everything she came up with a $300 plus total. I ask how is it all of a sudden over $100 more than this reservation. She couldn't give me a reason, she said she would waive some fees like admin/lock, etc. Came back with $255 which still didn't make any sense. I snapped a picture of it and went down to the location to speak with a rep to see if he could get credit for it before I reserved it online. After showing him the picture of the online special he honored it and told me to bring my trailer on Saturday and everything would be ok. When I arrived Saturday, I was given a hard time about the special and the woman working said she couldnt honor the special. I showed her the picture and she said it could have been taken at any time. I said no, look at the detail and it will show you when the picture was taken. I then told her to call the coworker that honored it. After she argued with him infront of me on the phone she said she still couldn't offer it. I asked for the owners information and she wouldn't give it to me. She then told me to go park my trailer and when I arrived back at the office it would all be taken care of. I parked the trailer and when I got back to the office she said she had to charge me 1/2 price but it would be refunded on Monday. I was in a hurry and was beyond annoyed so I said great. I am highly dissatisfied with the help I’ve received in the last few days. I went on vacation from the 5th to the 12th so I got my last two items out of storage on the 14th (nine days later because I WAS ON THE OTHER COAST) I called the location the following day (Monday the 15th) and the guy told me he found it empty and thanked me for calling and told me I was all done. I called today and the woman said I would not get reimbursed for the rest of the month because I didn’t move out by the fifth (the day the payment gets taken out). She also told me I didn’t move out until the 17th in their system which is impossible because I worked all day the 16th-18th until 10pm.
