04/23 I am writing this review to bring to your attention that I am not satisfied with the quality of service provided at BoxDrop Salem. I am talking about the services rendered Wednesday April 22, 2020 and want to let you know I was very upset with your staff’s performance and behavior. The level of disrespect and bad behavior was far too much. Staff did not show interest or behaved in a cordial way when interacting with customers.

The moment we approached the business site, a staff member approached us and was already showing signs of frustration towards us for no reason. We were there to purchase a much-needed mattress for our family and asked to see the options in stock. We decided on a specific mattress and informed the staff we would take the selected one, we did not know we would be stuck with the display one. We asked if this is the only option and his response was “Look at the date, is there something wrong with it?” along with that snarky remark, his tone and body language was inappropriate. When it came to purchase the mattress, we elected to pay in cash and asked for a receipt. Staff member/owner stated, “why do you need a receipt, you’re paying in cash, not needed.” We insisted in asking for a receipt for our sake. Staff/owner seemed irritated that he need to provide us with a receipt, something so simple yet inconvenient for him. We even elected to pay for the $20 service fee that included the staff member loading your mattress into your car. That did not happen; staff did not load the mattress into our car even after asking him to do so. His response “Figure it out.” At this point one would walk out and not pay for anything but in that moment one is in shock and disbelief that this is occurring.

Will never shop at this business ever again, I will make sure this review is in the appropriate platforms to warn potential customers of this bad...

I called BoxDrop to set up an appointment and spoke with Mack, the owner. Mack called two hours before my appointment to confirm, and was at the store waiting when I arrived. At the appointment, Mack asked what I was looking for and after I explained he asked my price range and told me what was in stock. He invited me to lay on the beds, which were all covered in plastic, which made me feel better about buying one, knowing that wouldn’t be laying on a mattress a bunch of other people had tested out. I chose which mattress I wanted and Mack advised (without being pushy) what others were available just outside my price range, which was the same firm mattress but with a pillow top. I explained that I had already purchased a mattress topper and he told me, “you probably don’t really need to spend more on the pillow top mattress then.” He accepts cash or card, possibly other payment options but I didn’t ask about alternatives. I also paid for him to deliver it to my apartment. We coordinated so that I could have same day delivery. Mack dropped off my mattress directly to my bedroom. The entire experience was as pleasant at Mack’s small talk. I feel like this is a hidden gem in Salem. I’d try to keep it secret, but I’d love to see this place get as much business as possible, so I’ll be telling anyone in the market for mattress to at least stop by and see if they have something that would work for them. Walked in on a Sunday not too long before closing time hoping to experience all the great things I read about online. Not only did Mack meet and exceed our expectations but all the great reviews we read about were 110% true. Mack was a hoot to talk to and seemed to understand everything were needing and worked with us to find the best possible options for us from choice of beds to choose from and all the finance options and questions we bombarded him with. And he had us in and out extremely quick, and for those of us who know that a happy wife means a happy will truly appreciate the level of care and concern that Mack has for each and everyone that walked thru the door as we were making our decision on which set to choose as well as all of you that will walk thru the door in the future. He doesn't act like a car salesman or rush you in any way, he only gives you the best possible options for what you are looking for and tells you honestly what works and what doesn't. We liked his variety of beds to choose from as well as his honesty about everything, as I'm sure you will have just as good an experience as we did. Thanks Mack. Can't wait to let all of our friends and family know what you do and how well you do it.
