Walmart is sometimes a necessary evil… I don’t support their business model. However, overall lower prices can be hard to resist. HOWEVER, prices have skyrocketed, and the shelves continue to be bare… to the point of no longer being able to reliably get essential items. Personally, (and I’m sure I’m not alone) I already have limited choices because of allergies, sensitivities, and medical conditions. I have been going every week looking for items in various categories where I really only have one or two options and there are many things that have been out of stock for well over a month. Some things are double what I used to pay, and they now charge a premium for things like products that are free of dyes and fragrances (same product, same size; they literally just charge more for products people like me have no choice but to buy). Now, I realize there are industry trends, economic and pandemic impacts: Gatorade recently dropped about 13% in size and went up by 34% in cost. Meanwhile Walmart now claims this price is 40% lower than “regular” price. Are you insane? Do they think people are that stupid?? I know the reputation of their demographic...
