My kiddo loves feeding the ducks and geese here. It's clean, well-kept and even has a little fenced-in dog park with what looks like two separate runs. We took our pup and she was able to run off-leash for the first time since we adopted her. There's also frisbee golf, a small boat launch, and a playground on the other side of Mill Creek with several picnic spots available for reservation. I believe there may be restrooms available as well but I can't speak to their upkeep as I've yet to visit them. There does seem to be a large encampment of RVs and possibly others who've been displaced, but we've had no problems after several visits... just overheard other attendees complaining. All off those who appear to be camping have been very friendly toward us. Even after accidentally leaving my car unlocked for a couple of hours with my purse, phone and two tablets, nothing was touched... and I was parked fairly close to the campers. So please don't be so quick to judge. Everybody's got something they're fighting... can't we all just TRY...

If you like to save money and enjoy some much needed entertainment this is the place. You can people watch for free and most of the time it's better then going to a comedy show or watching a movie the characters here deserve an award 😜 never a dull moment . You can also enjoy fishing in the pond for body's or 3 eyed 🐟 ,they also have a disk golf course. The creek is nice to cool off in just be careful where you get in at so you don't run into any homeless camps and across the bridge you got a couple parks for BBQ and the kiddos to play. I used to take my kids and have bday parties there as my parents did when I was young but since they closed down access to drive across the bridge there's no way I'm parking and packing all the kids and everything that far and have to worry about my car . Not to mention you might want to have 4 WD for the parking lot it's real bad in...

Great medium sized park with dog area, creek and lake with fishing/swimming, BBQ/picnic area, trails, seculided area's, lots of parking and it all right in town next to a Walmart, Panda, Del Mar and Lowes Update 12/30 Definitely not the place to bring your kids for now. Back side is closed off due to homeless camps. Some people still fish, but the water has gotten bad due to things being put in it by the campers. Avoid this park.

Sad to see that the city of Salem despite attempts to clean it up allowed the park to be taken over and essentially turned into a “permanent” homeless shelter and RV Park. I’m all for doing all there can be done to support the homeless in the area but it’s sad to see what was a nice park with great potential go downhill so fast during the pandemic and then continue well after the temporary camping rules ended.
