Alejandro from this store went well above and beyond for me.
After stopping at a corporate store in Marion, IL to purchase a new Kyocera DuraForce Pro, I was informed that said phone was not available that day, but would be shipped from the warehouse to my home in two days. When the phone did not arrive at my house, I noticed a message on the My Verizon app that said the phone was not available at any corporate location and that they would not be shipped for another two and a half weeks. I could have purchased another device, but due to the nature of my line of work, I needed the mil spec phone and needed it sooner than two and a half weeks.
This is where The Cellular Connection comes into play.
Since I was told it was going to take so long to get, I called the local TCC store in Salem, spoke to Alejandro and he told me that they did have one in stock. He promptly went into their storage room and placed hands on the device to ensure me that they did, in fact, have one in stock. I arrived at the store about an hour before closing time to begin the process of purchasing my phone. He allowed me to use the store phone to dial customer service so that I could cancel my previous corporate order. After spending most of that hour on hold (thanks to the high call volume after Hurricane Florence), my order was cancelled and we began the process of activation of my new device. I was so impressed that Alejandro was so gracious as to stay past his normal working hours in order to assist me. I asked him multiple times if I could just come back in the morning so that he would be able to leave and he insisted that we stay and I be able to leave with a fully functioning device. He is a very professional and friendly associate and should be commended for his willingness to thoroughly do his job.

Read moreIf Christian hadn't told me that I could indeed trade in my phone with a damaged screen for discount on my upgrade, I would have missed my opportunity. We made an appointment and over the course of 2 hours we got my phone and smartwatch upgraded and I found out that Verizon now includes my address in its internet coverage area so I was able to switch to that and get it all setup too. I just had to go home and plug it in and give the new password to all my devices. Looking forward to not having so many outages that I did with my previous provider that was also way more expensive. I have another appointment with Christian when my new watch comes in so we can get it screen protected and setup. Christian is not the only employee at TCC who has helped me and my family immensely. It's a completely different experience than going to the Verizon Store. Everyone at TCC seems interested in getting me the best deal and making repairs or upgrades go smoothly with one-on-one support anytime I walk into the store. I really appreciate them and all the hard work they do and their willingness to stay after hours to get through all the customers that arrived before closing time even if there is only one employee in the store...
