I bought a refurbished xbox one x console in late November at Salina GameStop as part of a "bundle" for a Christmas gift for my little boy. First off, the "bundle" was a gimmick and didnt save me any money, like i was told. Its just a trick to get you to spend more money, then tried lying about it later when confronted. They had to order the console and it arrived on time. Hooked it up Christmas day and it won't play any games, disc or digital. As soon as it starts to load a game, it shuts off completely. Every time, no matter the game. Took it back Dec 26 to exchange. They were out in-store & online and said they will contact "corporate" to try to get another one ordered. Still waiting.. contacted corporate myself. They had no knowledge of the situation, and GameStop is blaming corporate for the delay, saying they emailed them several times to order a replacement. & corporate has no record of this supposedly. The console came with a 1 year warranty, but they refuse to fix it. It was suggested to me by the manager that I take it to a shop to get it fixed on MY dime(which would void the warranty). They offered me to return it for store credit, but wont give me my money back to go somewhere else to get it. So now im stuck with a $450 paper weight, and will have to just trust that someday, they might get "the emails" and get something figured out to replace my boys xbox. Was told it might be MONTHS before that happens. And it could be replaced with a trade-in off the street, not a refurbished one, like I paid for. I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM GAMESTOP AGAIN, AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYBODY ELSE TO EITHER! CUSTOMERS ARE THEIR LAST PRIORITY!...
Read moreThis store is always clean and the staff is always friendly and as helpful as they can be. They will go out of their way to help you. Some of these other reviews are blatant lies. Corporate requires the sleeves on the shelves for new games to be empty promotional cases. They aren’t guaranteed in stock and nobody would ever say that is “not their problem.” That I promise is a lie. They also cannot control what merchandise they have in and as someone that worked retail, it makes you a Karen to expect them to magically make things appear they do not have. Don’t listen to liars trying to get something for free or lie. They have sent emails on my behalf to try to make things right and kept me informed every step of the way. They also spent hours on the phone trying to resolve my issue before. They message corporate but anyone who has worked retail knows how long that can take for it to get to the proper resource. These people work really hard and are always helping people that ask. As for the bundles, nowhere anywhere did it say you were saving money and they told me flat out it would not, but allowed items to be swapped out to make the bundles less expensive than what the flyers posted. Read moreWent in to look at ninetendo switch and my son was playing the game on their display. He was trying to figure out what game he wanted. Never got acknowledged or asked if we needed help. It was very slow and we we're the only ones in there. Then this person named Rose came up and and in front of me,the mom told my son to leave after he played one more game. Really we weren't in there but 10 MINUTES!!. We've bought a lot of stuff from this store, won't ever go in there again! I was shocked and felt humiliated, never been treated so bad. Well I guess we'll be spending our money at Walmart or Target!! Aweful customer service!!!! She claimed to be a manager. Need to retrain this aweful...
