Salinas Sports Complex — Local services in Salinas

Very disappointed how management handled the Monster Jam show. In all the events I have attended, I have never seen such disorganization. We live 5 minutes from the complex, and gave ourselves over an hour to get inside. It took over 2.5 hours. There was no explanation prior to the way they were closing off the U-turns or the best way to enter, nor was there anyone directing traffic near the complex. The security lines were of course a joke, resulting in extremely long lines.

Once inside, we had already missed half the show, and no that's not an exaggeration. Show started at 2, we left at 1 and once again, live only 5 minutes away. We were seated by 3:45. There was no time to get food or use the restrooms, as the lines were insane.

The parking attendants were upset as well, and even told us that the show was oversold and they were in the process of trying to get parking through the baseball field. It's almost like the complex never held any sort of event at all, and this was all new for them. There were many cars behind us, and the field we parked in definitely would have gotten filled. I am not sure if cars had to be eventually turned away or not.

I was one of the vendors here at the Salinas rodeo sport complex I wasn’t told we had to stay until 10 o clock at night. I did decide to pick up my things at 8 and asked security if I can have the entrance open just so I can put things in my truck. He didn’t seem to help much he just kept telling me he couldn’t and doors will open until 9:30pm I was desperately trying to leave due to me having labor contractions already and I had no help from no one to carry everything out ro my truck. I also spoke to the “boss” it was a lady picking up the garbage cans outside in a little go cart and she also told me the same thing and I asked her how did she expect me to carry everything out alone if I am full term pregnant I can’t carry heavy things so far to the parking lot.. she didn’t seem to care as well.. just a heads up next time inform your vendors well! Please I’m literatly nect to the door entrance it wouldn’t have even been a problem. I’m just upset knowing these people don’t give a damm. Last time I come out and sale...

The Salinas Sports Complex has many exciting features. Not only is it a major stop in the Pro Bull Riding Tour, it also host many concerts which has included Arrowsmith and REO Speedwagon. You can also rent one of their Halls for Wedding receptions or private parties. It is also the home to one of Northern California's best Youth Softball programs, The Salinas Storm. Ages range from teams in the 10u to 18u divisions which churn out college talent year after year many girls who go on to earn full ride scholarships. During the Summer and Fall you can likely find a tournament on weekends and most nights it is Time for the Adults to play ball for both Men and Women.
