My husband and I recently visited Livingstone because it's my dad's alma mater. My dad Max Yoder was the first white student to attend and graduate from Livingstone and helped to integrate the Capital Theater, and was arrested for his efforts (sitting with his friends in the "wrong" color section!), along with many black students fighting for the equality they deserved.
We were given an amazing tour by a graduate named Samuel, who was excellent with the students. The campus is impressive! The academics are strong! And they offer a growing variety of majors, particularly in science and medicine! The brand new football field is AMAZING and Livingstone has claims on successful athletes, including one young woman who recently competed in the Olympics!
As a high school teacher of 11th & 12th grade students, I will be displaying Blue Bear banners in my Indiana classroom and will be promoting Livingstone College enthusiastically for years to come!

Read moreStarted attending Livingstone in the fall of 2018 and am currently transferring this year . Livingstone has A LOT of flaws although I am grateful for the opportunity it gave me it needs renovation from the campus to the staff. It does have a family feel among the students but does not treat it's students well. Financial aid drag their feet on MANY things then put people out after they've taken their money. The academic programs on campus are decent but could be better as well. I have hope...
