Two years ago I left a great rating for this establishment. Today I literally regret wasting the gas driving down the street to get here.
When I pulled up at the kiosk, In the drive through lane, There was nobody in front or behind me, And there was nobody at any of the parking kiosks or any of the tables out front. We were basically the only people there at one o'clock in the afternoon..
When I pulled up the young man who answered the headset, I asked him if you still had the wraps. . He said" uh ...wraps?" I said yes, do you still have the small wraps? I don't see them on the main board....He said "uh...I dunno " You work here but you don't know what your products are?
I said forget it ...( obviously i'm not getting food here today i said to myself and set my next destination as The Hotdog Shack )
So I said, can I please have 2 large cherry limeaids NO ICE .. O.k no ice please... I pull up to the window, which is now covered so that people can't see inside, my guesses is because of the picture that was posted from last week with the girl running her hands through her nasty hair and then touching peoples food.
I wait five or six minutes in a completely empty facility for 2 drinks.... The woman opens the window and it looks like she's been in a brawl, She's absolutely filthy, .. she hands me the drinks and as expected, because following simple directions seems to be a problem These days in this industry, they are full to the top with ice... When did ownership and management start accepting sub par service from their employees...knowing it's peeving off thier paying base ?
I mean, when was like cleanliness and hygiene and personal appearance , safe food handling, semi decent mannerisms toward customers etc, all the standard things that you would have in the restaurant business thrown away.
Because this is seemingly the new norm that customers are having to face everywhere and that ownership during and after covid has accepted as an OK way of doing business.. it's not if you haven't figured that yet.
Also for the record, several other people had stated in this thread over the recent weeks that the sodas tasted like absolute trash and I can tell you 100% They are not lying. Not only did they put ice in ,which we specifically asked them not to twice because I have teeth that I had surgery on in the front, that hurt when the soda is too cold, So I skip ice... But the drinks themselves tasted absolutely nasty... they got poured out in a bush and almost 8 bucks with it...we bought bottled cheerwines up the road.
In my experience myself with years in the restaurant industry, that normally occurs when the lines for the soda machines themselves are dirty ,and it creates a bacterial contaminant that you can taste in the drinks.. or more often, it's because the ice machines are absolutely filthy inside combined with nasty city water., and you get this foul sewage taste in your drink...
So to the ownership I say, Clean your soda machines, Clean your lines and clean your ice machine , maybe put a filter on your water lines and instruct your staff to start listening to the orders that are being placed, actually give the customers what they ask for, and they pay for, Drop the attitudes , And start remembering basic food handling procedures and cleanliness, Both personal and for the job itself.
I know after years of coming here, until I start seeing some good reviews that counteract what we've been seeing lately. I will not be back..
These are an easy fix... It's stupid to lose the...

I ordered a medium size of their chicken poppers and a large sweet tea, light ice add Strawberries.
It was at least 4 minutes before a teenage guy walked out to take my payment card while we waited for the other 2 cars that had been sitting in front of us when we came around the corner.
Maybe 5 minutes after handing him the card, it was my turn to pull up to the window.
A young, teenage girl handed me my card back, then my chicken and correct requested sauces. No less than 2 minutes later, she handed me my sweet tea with light ice and added strawberries.
I tasted the tea... It had the correct amount of ice, and also had strawberries!! What it was MISSING, however, was the sweet....
I told the young, teenage girl that it wasn't sweet and handed it back. 2-3 more minutes later, another drink came back out from the window. Right amount of ice, had strawberries, BUT STILL NO SWEET!!!!
I waited for someone to notice me waiving, trying to get someone's attention in the kitchen through the window. Another, young, teenage girl came up, I told her it still wasn't sweet. She said "I know, they're making some more now. Pull forward and someone will bring it out to you when it's ready..... So waited no more than 3 more minutes.
The 3rd drink, was. NOT. SWEET!!!
I pushed my straw to the very bottom of the cup, only to suck up a ton of undissolved sugar grains...............
So I tried the same thing with the previous drink (cup number 2) and it was the same. A ton of grainy sugar....
They just tried to make it sweet by dumpung sugar in my cup without dissolving it. So anyone after me wouldn't benefit from ANY of my drinks (3) being "fixed"....
"Poor service" doesn't hit hard enough.
Poorly managed (apparently) Kids in the kitchen surprised my aunt by how rude they were and how they lacked any.
This Sonic restaurant at 935 W Innes St, Salisbury, NC across from the dairy queen, always seems to disappoint and leaves the WRONG taste in my mouth.
I got fed up with never getting what I order from this Sonic, at 935 W Innes St, Salisbury, NC. So I decided to waste even more of my day by writing what I hope to be helpful for someone in the future.
ALWAYS TASTE YOUR DRINK BEFORE LEAVING THE WINDOW!! AND TASTE ALL YOUR FOOD WHILE YOU WAIT FOR...
Read moreI'm not one to complain. I've worked in food service and I understand things happen. Just would liked them fixed and some things said bothered me. So I went with my friends to this sonic. I usually go to the one in Rockwell, which I love. The people there are friendly and it's a nice hang out spot. I was in Salisbury, so I figured this would be the same. NOPE. Went to order my one thing, a hot fudge sundae with M&Ms added. $2.65 order. I noticed the screen for the outside seating was black, but I didnt think much of it. I ordered my sundae and saw the card reader flashing. I inserted my card and watched it stop blinking thinking it was paid for. I sit and wait with my friends and then a girl comes out and SCREAMS the orders out. I never knew they did that. I thought they went to the area and asked at tables but they were busy so I wont hold it against them. Then she called out my sundae, I told her was me. Then she told me the amount of it, which I said I already paid. She said it didnt go through because that screen is broke. I nodded and handed her my card. She brought it back and the everything was fine, except for people coming out and screaming. We left for the night and when I got back to my car, I noticed my notifications for my bank came through twice, which is weird. I saw sonic charged me for my sundae and a 17.86 meal as well. I quickly went to the manager and told him I didnt order the 17.86. He questioned me, and I had to explain multiple times that I didnt order the 17 dollars meal, I just had a sundae and I got charged twice. That I slide my card into the card reader for the broken screen and whatever was on it charged my card. The girl who gave me the sundae came out and overheard me, and which she responded "yeah, it's the second time it's happened today". WHY DONT YOU WARN PEOPLE NOT TO SWIPE THEIR CARDS THEN?!?!?! So he said he would refund my card. It's been a week since then and I still havent received my refund. I wouldnt normally complain, but it left my card at .19 cents, I needed that money! I'm going to talk to them about it again, but I doubt they will...
