Autumn Care of Saluda Center — Local services in Saluda

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to give All the permanent staff and All the people who work for agencies who made my stay there for physical therapy a wonderful experience!! Thanks to all the nurses and CNA’s!!! You All never stop!!

Everyone was so helpful!! You even put up with my sharing life stories and my silly sense of humor and some jokes also.

For those 3rd shift staff... God Bless you for making sure I had my ice packs, snacks, my 3 am meds, and even gave me some coffee. I promise you it wasn’t the coffee keeping me up, it was the pain of having a total hip replacement!!

All 3 shifts were so kind to me, I apologize for my interruptions, you all patiently said, “you’re fine” .... your expertise in all areas was greatly appreciated!!

Thanks to Alicia, NP, and Dr. Russell!! Autumn Care needs you.❤️❤️.... your medical knowledge and especially your bedside manner!! You both are 2 in a million!!

Let’s not forget from Melissa the Director, Jessica in Admissions, the front office gals, Judy the DSM, the DON, housekeeping, Bonnie and Barbara in Hospitality, Al in maintenance, and sweet Genelle who did any job that needed to be done, she’s supposed to only be the kitchen supervisor! Genelle you go above and beyond!! Oh, the kitchen staff too for making sure I had everything I can eat.

Don’t think I’ve left you All out in Physical Therapy!!! Carmen, you have a special group that are in there doing the best they can do for everyone!! Jerrica, thanks for everything you taught me!! I’m doing everything at home I can. Mind over body.....

I do want to thank all the residents who actually live there also. I always will cherish the memories of my time with you❤️❤️❤️❤️.

As soon as I’m back in physical shape to volunteer, I’ll bring my precious little pup to bring cheer to the residents, and I’ll be there to help also.

If I ever, ( I pray not), I would choose Autumn Care again....

The first impression was from Linda and Delia who were the attendants who picked me up from hospital. They were polite and very patient as I gathered by belonging from hospital room. Upon loading me in the transport bus they both made sure my wheelchair was secure and I was warm and comfortable.When we arrived at Autuma Care of Saluda I was taken to my room which was clean , bright and cozy as we made our way everyone spoke a Hi , or welcome. One by one the team who was assigned to my treatment came and introduced themselves to me, which relaxed me a great deal. Kathy who came by first spoke about her experience at her job and assured me that she would see to my needs and she did that daily. My physical therapist, Deborah, and occupational therapist, Kathy and Cliff did a great job getting my arm and leg working again.Their knowledge got me on trace to a speedy recovery.The doctors I saw Dr.Hunt and Dr Al were kind and helped me to understand how the stroke affected my body and were ready to help me to get back to normal. They explained what medications were necessary and why. The nurses , cnas along with all the other staff were efficient and pleasant. Kitchen staff served good meals and good portions. Thanks I'm an eater. Activity staff got all residence and patients involved with fun things to do and helped newbies to get comfortable around each other , Making new friends and fun memories . My experience at Autumn Care of Saluda not only got me walking but helped me find joy in a frightening health experience. THANK YOU to everyone at your facility. A few things I’d like to say about this facility. Autumn care of Saluda has far surpassed all of my and my family’s expectations. The admissions dept is exceptional and personable. The front office always greets you with a smile. The housekeeping goes above and beyond. The rooms/bathrooms were clean, hallways were clean and best of all the building always smelled clean. Dietary always served a good meal that was hot, fresh and more than expected. Any issues that needed fixed was always done promptly and with a smile. I never felt like I was an inconvenience to anyone. I also noticed an activity happening everyday. Nursing is top notch! They are professional and always took the time to explain and answer questions. We never felt unsure about leaving from a visit and wondering if everything would be ok. The cnas and nurses always went above and beyond to make sure our loved one was well taken care of. We never had to look for staff because there was always someone walking the halls. The administrator and the DON personally walked to our room and introduced themselves and made themselves available if we had any concerns. Dr Russell and his team were some of the best. We never felt like we were not in the loop of things. This facility is great and provides a feeling of home and most of all we felt like part of a family. We would highly recommend this facility. If ever needed, we will most definitely be back to autumn...
