United States Postal Service — Local services in San Andreas

I thought I posted a very positive review back in March 2020. I came in today to change it, but can't find that review, so I guess I'll start from scratch. I went to this Valley Springs PO because it's an authorized Passport Acceptance Facility. I brought the correct form, all filled out, with everything else I needed. The clerk told me I had filled out the wrong form, and gave me a different blank one. I went to the counter, copied my information from the one I brought to the new blank one she gave me, and submitted the one she told me to use, along with proper photos and the proper fee. I found out today that the original form I brought in WAS the right one, and that the one she gave me instead was the wrong one. The passport office is keeping my fee and my photos, and I have to start all over again. I wish I had not listened to the gal at this post office. She seemed well-intentioned, smart, and kind. But her error is putting me to a lot of trouble, including further delay of my receipt of my passport (in addition to delays caused byy recent...

Friendly, high quality service here. Yes, that is an oxymoron when talking about Post Offices but they have their game on here.

We drove 2 hours to this post office in order to get a rush passport (8 weeks to get an appointment in the Bay Area) and had a great experience with Lynn. She knows her passport stuff!

This is the only post office in California that accepts walk-ins for passports. They expedite processing directly with the State Department in Philadelphia.

If you need a passport fast, this is your place. They quote 2-4 weeks for “rush service”

If you are in the Bay Area make an online appointment or drop in between 9a and 2p for walk-ins.

I actually had my 2 pieces of mail stamped by clerk w/date and clerk took them from me over the counter. They were never received . Only going to Hayward & Travis Credit Union, Fairfield both w/payments. That was 9/13/18, . As of today Oct 1, still not received. Had to pay $35 fee for a stop payment on one check plus incurred late fees. This is second time this has happen to me with a loan payment, mailed from there. Won't be using them anymore. Plus we are always getting other people's mail in our mail box. Mgmt. Needs to make certain people change their address instead of making route carriers guess which box it goes into. I'm tired of getting their mail. Guess they look the other way for...
