Cover-up at its finest. I called the archdiocese in November to report physical assault (taping of a student's mouth by a teacher), which took place at Saints Peter and Paul catholic school in New Braunfels. I left a voicemail with the archdiocese saying i was reporting physical assault by a teacher and my phone call was never returned. I then sent an email to Marty West explaining the entirety of the situation and I never received a response. So I filled out the online form on the archdiocese website to report the assault and again, I never received a response or even an acknowledgment of receipt. I then emailed Steve Martinez and explained the situation and he said filling out the online form was my best bet. Here it is December and nothing has been done. What's worst is the school administration, Jeffrey Lightsey and Kathleen Iriarte, were present when the teacher (Joseph Mahlie) verbally admitted to taping the student's mouth. Joseph Mahlie has been employed at the school the entire time and the administration said they conducted an "investigation" and have chosen to keep the teacher employed there. During their "investigation", Joseph Mahlie continued to be employed at the school rather than at the least, sent home on leave with pay. Your child(ren) are not safe in catholic schools and if sending them to a catholic school is something you've been considering, I strongly advise against it if you care about their welfare and...

I cannot fit everything wrong with the archdiocese of San Antonio that calls itself a holy place. This so called “religious” organization is full of hypocrisies and does not embody the values of Christ. It is the perfect example of a lukewarm Christian. In it’s vision, it claims to embody the values of prayerfulness , stewardship, unity but does quite the opposite. People are leaving the Church because of them. I know countless people who attend their schools looking for a Catholic education. Thanks to them, countless people I have come across that attend the schools have shown suicidal ideation, low self esteem, trauma, and have left the Church because of their discriminatory policies “in the name of Christ”. When visiting the schools, minority students are not even acknowledged. In addition, they promised to meet and address these issues but never followed through. No matter how much they try to sweep us under the rug and avoid us, we will always fight for our rights. Please reconsider interacting with or donating to this...

PLEASE DO NOT HIT LIKE.

May God have Mercy on us all. Amen.

"Don't lower the wave of my heart, It swells to your eyes, mother; don't alter love, but bring the wave to me In your translucent hands . ... True, it's not easy to measure the meaning of the words He breathed into us both so that all earlier love in those words should be concealed."

Do not blame on anyone for our own ignorant and lack of the Truth Labor of LOVE from the foundation of FAITH. Trust is to seek out the Truth first, Respect is to earn with the Truth...

I work for the Archdiocese and am grateful to be able to work with this team of amazing employees under the leadership of Archbishop Gustavo. I don't identify with some of the negative things said in other reviews. The Archdiocese does an incredible amount of good work in this region.

No one every called me back. Their cemeteries are unkempt, a GREAT disrespect to the deceased and the families. This is just a sampling of the utter disrepect. Some headstones are 4 ft high and covered to the top with weeds.
