I was a first time customer to the establishment. I just moved from Houston I was looking for a new place to get my hair done. When I walked in they definitely were not welcoming. My appointment then started late. I showed pictures of what i expecting. I get my hair colored every three months so I know the drill. I get the same color and cut all the time. I know exactly how my hair lifts and takes color. The pictures I showed her and my explanation of what I wanted were very clear. What I got was no where near the picture I showed. I asked for a more ashy/beige blonde and my hair was black by the end. She apologized and and rebooked me to fix it. I have to sit a whole weekend with my hair messed up and she still charged me half. When I called to speak to the owner or manager. She literally was not helpful or empathetic to my issue. Like you’re a hairstylist you know how important hair is to some people. She basically told me to go back to the lady who colored my hair. And when I came back it was better experience but still nothing like the pictures or the color I wanted. I was already grey blonde you just have boast my bottom and touch up my roots. This was the absolute worst hair experience. I had to buy purple shampoo and tone it to the color I prefer. Which I shouldn’t have had to do I just 400 for a cut and color which I was sooo unsatisfied and my cut was barely trimmed but was charged a full hair cut. I was referred to Prismatic and Ava by a good friend and neighbor. My ONLY regret is that I didn't ask for a recommendation sooner. Ava has got SKILLS! From the moment I arrived, until the moment I left, I was made to feel completely at home. Ava listened to my concerns and addressed them all. She is extremely knowledgeable about hair care, scalp care as well as all the best methods for different types of hair. When she was finished, I really wanted to cry because THAT is what I wanted in the beginning when I originally got my extensions. Ava also has the most kind and patient "bedside manner" I have had the pleasure of being around ever. She engaged me in lively conversation, listened to all of my stories and shared stories of her lovely wife and family as well. I cannot recommend Ava and Prismatic highly enough. If you are looking for someone who is going to work with you on whatever you are trying to accomplish with your hair, she is wonderful. I recently moved to the area and scheduled an appointment with Victoria for a simple cut. I got there 5-10 minutes before my appointment and was greeted by another stylist who told me to have a seat and Victoria would be with me shortly. I waited for over 30 minutes past my appointment time and was not checked on once or told what was going on by Victoria. I would have walked out if I didn’t need my hair cut so badly. Once she was finished with the previous client she proceeded to tell me that she had been behind since her FIRST appointment that morning. I totally understand things not going as planned, but to not call before I got there or even check in on me in the waiting area to let me know what was going on is completely disrespectful of my time. Everything from there on out was rushed because I had to be somewhere and it was an overall poor experience.
