I love coming here for the the variety of fresh pan dulce and the cheap produce they offer. Seriously, some of their fresh produce can be half the price of other stores!
Anyway, we had never tried their cooked food before and I will say that we were not fans of what we ordered: chile verde chicharrón. The food had a burnt taste to it and unfortunately we didn’t get much meat but got more of the chewy parts of the chicharrón. When had to come back and ask for something else and the cashier at the front was understanding and didn’t give us a hard time.
We will continue to patron this place because it’s such a staple of the community and they have great, fresh products. But as far as the cooked food, we might not try something else...

Do I order here? No you order at the register I was told but I did take a good look at the food and ordered what looked good which I got a taco de asada and one of carnitas. This place's did always gives me the feeling of eating at Grandma's house. I purchase the large for $9.17 and I take my own pot. They give you 6 tortillas with it. Easily serves 3 or 2 big bowls.
