If you are traveling within 25 miles of this place, then take a small detour over here. This is one of those hidden gems that people like me (who has a distaste for chains) should go out of their way for.
Let's start with the decor shall we? This place looks like one of those cool burger joints out of the 50's, yet feels so authentically grounded giving you such a cool welcoming vibe. The wood panel walls is done so perfectly right and strikes that balance of not being overdone. Booths and seats are a darker red than usual moving away from the cliche red people use when trying to pose a retro lover.
The folks over there are super cool, down to earth and downright the best to deal with. They make you feel welcome but don't overdo it either. Even better, they know their menus super well (try getting that from a chain restaurant) to the point where I felt super comfortable with my order before it ever arrived.
Speaking of food... SUPER YUMMY! I don't know what playbook they are pulling from, but I'm certain it's the playbook of awesome yumminess!!! (Yes I just said that). Very few burgers match to the true authenticity of what a burger should be. I had their avocado bacon burger and it was love at first bite (yes I actually said that too). My daughter had the skillet and I couldn't stop picking from her plate.
So to conclude this place meets my highest trifecta rating which is nearly impossibly to do. Great decor, great folks, great food. This is it everyone. Go out of your way to get...
Read moreWe were seated right away and asked for our drink order quickly. The Hostess said the Denver Omelette was the special and was $9.99. The waitress came and had laryngitis, not her fault and no complaint. We both ordered the Denver Omelette Special. The waitress asked if we wanted to add bell peppers and onions to our home fries and we both said yes. I ordered mine with biscuit and gravy on the side-poured gravy over my omelette. My wife ordered a English muffin. I had coffee and my wife drank water. When the bill came we were charged regular price for the 2 omelettes and $3.50 combined for onions and peppers on the home fries. My wife told the server about omettes over charged and surprised of extra charge on home fries. The server said she would adjust omelette prices and apologized for not telling us of extra charge on home fries and said will remember for next time. She returned reducing omelette $1.00 each which was more than hostess advised us of price. We paid without further discussion. The omelette said were made with 3 eggs and were maybe small eggs as not as big as expected. We both...
