Mariscos El Korita — Restaurant in Highland

Update- 10-21-22 Went back today and ordered a torta de Milanesa with avocado. It was delicious!!! And ordered a fried fish. Everything was delicious!!!

Darn I thought I had photos. I'll have to go back and eat again lol I don't mind at all cuz I've gone 2 times so far and I'm in love!! Their food is amazing!! I've gone two different times of day. We went for breakfast and it was delicious!! Ordered chilaquiles con huevos estrellado y bistec. So basically an over easy eggs with a piece of some yummy Carne asada. The meat was tender. The green sauce on the chilaquiles was perfect! Not too hot not too mild. Came with rice and beans. My kid ordered a burrito de chorizo. Delicious! Mom ordered a mojarra plate. So fried fish comes with rice n beans. 😋 the drinks we ordered were jamaica, and one orchata. They were way too sweet we had to water it down. But hey it made 2 drinks lol. Anyways, the waitresses are perfect. Very good service 👏🏽. I recommend u guys to check it out. The interior does look like it can use an update on the furniture, tables, etc. But overall I'm pleased. Worst experience ever 1st time going food was good but service was horrible Montserrat was very rude she was acting like we weren’t going to pay!!! The owner was there and he thought by picking up our plates and saying sorry was going to make it better I hope she gets fired!! And to make it even worse she wouldn’t wash her hands when getting food and she try to give us a bottle soda when we asked for a can soda and she had open the bottle soda and when we told her that we asked for a can she dig through the trash to get the bottle soda cap she found it and place it on top of the bottle soda to close it again!!!! Disgusting she also would pick up the leftover tortillas from peoples orders and would hold them with her hands with no gloves and would take them to the kitchen area I hope she doesn’t place them in other orders over all...

We love it here, my husband and I have been coming to Mariscos El Korita for 7 years now and the staff treats us like family. There are many things that I love on the menu, but there are a few things that order regularly because that’s what I’m craving. The fish tostada, fajitas mixta, mole, birria, chilaquiles, fried fish, shrimp cocktail and sopes are our must have go to’s. Her salsa is spicy but extremely flavorful, the handmade tortillas have great texture and don’t fall apart. The drinks are so good here! I get the Rosa regularly and boy does it pack a punch! The micheladas are delicious here as well and I love how they are dressed with chamoy, tajin, cucumber and a shrimp. Do not come here if you’re in a rush, the food takes time but it’s so worth it.
