I understand that when fixing a laptop, it'll be expensive. But the whole experience felt like all the guy was thinking was how to make more money off this rather than try and fix my laptop.
First off when I called and tried to get a rough estimate so that I can save some money for it, even telling the guy what exactly was the problem, but he ignored it and said that I still needed to pay a diagnosis charge. I figured it was fine, and I came in, paid the charge, and left my laptop with them. They said it would take 5-7 business days for the problem to be identified, even told me it'll be fixed by then after I had asked them.
So, five days go by, I try and call the place and see if the laptop is fixed, but I get the AI assistant or whatever they use on the phone. I just send them a text but get nothing. So while I was on a bus ride back, in the middle of the ride, I got a text asking if I could drop off the charger for the laptop. I'm confused since I had asked them when I first dropped off my laptop if they wanted the charger, and they didn't say a word. I even left it on a desk they had, but they didn't mention anything about it, so I took it home. But luckily I had my backpack with me that had the charger so I dropped it off, was exhausted since I had to walk the rest of the way from their place to my house but I didn't mind it much.
However, the next day(being today I post this), I call again to check the progress since he said they only started the diagnosis yesterday. Come to find that the whole thing is gonna cost me more than 600 dollars for the motherboard and the labor cost. Now I was feeling bummed out but then he was adding on how the screen would need to be fixed too even though that wasn't the issue. So I decide to just take the laptop home without fixing it since at that point I can just buy a new laptop.
But when I got it, my laptop was all scratched up, the bottom panel for it was broken(like it was actually loose), and there was an ident in the back of the laptop screen as well. The scratches i can kinda understand because that can happen. But how do you make a visual ident into my laptop and break the bottom panel? Can't get a refund for that either since they had me sign that they aren't liable for it. I had thought in the case of that happening of when they are actually fixing my laptop!
I'm never coming back and honestly, for laptop repairs, just go somewhere else. Maybe even ask a computer friend or ask online for advice. Someone i know who also worked in a shop like this one, told me that it gets expensive for no reason.
Maybe the shop is the greatest at selling laptops or desktops, but they soured my view on them with this experience and like i said, not coming...

I recently encountered an issue with my laptop and needed it repaired as soon as possible. The team not only diagnosed the problem quickly but also provided me with a clear explanation of the issue. To my surprise, they offered a fantastic service where the diagnostic fee went towards the cost of the parts needed for the repair, which really helped.
On top of that, they managed to upgrade my system and return it to me within two days! The whole experience was seamless, professional, and incredibly efficient. This is by far the best laptop repair service I’ve encountered – highly recommended!...
Read moreI ran into this computer store on waterman by accident. The customer service was second to none. His prices were way below what other cut throat computer techs charge. I am personally getting 10 laptops by the 25th of October for my business. I was wondering where this guy has been while we waste money at other places. The overall thing is that the guy is a computer whiz. He knows his job and is very humble. I would highly, highly recommend this place to anyone , just anybody....
