Las Patronas Mexican food — Restaurant in San Bernardino

I was in the hood today of San Bernadino and had to wait on someone across the street at the DMV so i thought to get some lunch and noticed this place. Parking lot was empty. Walked in and restaurant was empty too. I arrived at 11:41 One would think its busy around this time. Walked in, grabbed a seat and checked out the menu. The usual selection. But handwritten stickers with new, higher prices were next to every item.

I ordered chili and a Mexican coke. They got me a little half empty bowl of salsa that didn't last very long. Not even a quarter of chips eaten and I was already out. Heat and venigar was what I tasted and nothing else in salsa.

Chili Verde tasted ok but to much veniger taste.

And look at the small portion. Just a few forks of beans and rice...hardly any meat 1/4 of the plate was just chili Verde sauce...I mean, come on.

I thought oh well, it's the cheap lunch menu.

But then I had to wait to get my check for over 15 minutes. I finally got up and asked if customers don't need to pay in here. Oh boy, slammed me with over $22.

I asked why so high. There is a 0.75 card fee. I paid debit so it should not. I told them that they need to let custo.ers know that there is such a high card fee. He pointed at a small handwritten sign that had torn edges and does not look like a sign anyone would pay attention too. Absolutely ridiculous. 14 for chili Verde and a whopping $5 for small Mexican coke. Insane, just insane for such small portions.

I will never come back here due to bad service, small portions and high price. There is alot of better options close by. Very disappointed.

2 STARS BECAUSE OF HOW HORRIBLE THE SERVERS ARE AT ATTENDING CUSTOMERS. IF YOU WANT TO WAIT 15 MINS ON A SERVER TO COME OVER AND ACKNOWLEDGE YOU BEFORE TAKING ANOTHER 10 MINS FOR DRINKS, THEN THIS IS THE PLACE. MIND YOU THEY ARE NEVER THAT BUSY, THEY JUST SLACK AND MOVE AT A TURTLE PACE. THERES ABOUT 8 TABLES IN TOTAL AND THEY JUST TAKE FOREVER TO SERVICE YOU. I LOVE THE FOOD, THERE IS NO COMPLAINT ON THE FOOD, I'VE BEEN THERE ABOUT 5 TIMES AND EACH AND EVERY TIME THE SERVERS GET WORSE. IVE BEEN A SERVER FOR OVER 10 YEARS AND THE WAY THEY WALK AROUND AND NOT DO MUCH TO BETTER THEIR SERVING SKILLS IS RIDICULOUS TO ME. IT TAKES ABOUT 30-40MINS JUST TO GET UR FOOD. FOOD IS DELICIOUS BUT THE WAIT FOR EVERYTHING IS BEYOND ME. THEY DON'T GO TO CHECK ON YOU BUT MAYBE ONE TIME AFTER DROPPING FOOD OFF, FORGET EVEN TRYING TO GET REFILLS. THE GIRL LAST TIME CHARGED ME 3.50 FOR A CAN SODA WITH NO REFILLS. SHE DIDN'T TELL ME THAT THEY WERE OUT OF THE DIET FOUNTAIN DRINK WITH IS FREE REFILLS SO SHE TOOK IT UPON HERSELF TO GIVE ME A CAN, I THOUGHT MAYBE THAT'S JUST HOW THEY DO IT, WHEN I ASKED IF THERE ARE REFILLS, SHE SAID NOT ON THE CANS, I SAID WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME, SHE SAID WELL WE WERE OUT OF DIET, I SAID BUT YOU COULD HAVE TOLD ME AND I WOULD HAVE GOTTEN A DIFFERENT DRINK FROM FOUNTAIN MACHINE THAT WAS AVAILABLE. I ALSO ASKED IF THEY CHARGED TO PAY WITH CARD, SHE SAID NO, BUT ONCE SHE CHARGED MY CARD THERE WAS LIKE A 4% CHARGE OF WHAT THE BILL IS.. ANOTHER SERVER WITH EYE CONTACTS IS ALWAYS TOO BUSY FLIRTING WITH CUSTOMERS THAT SHE NEGLECTS ANY OTHER TABLE. ITS...
