San Bernardino County Assessor-Recorder-Clerk Main Office — Local services in San Bernardino

Came here to record some documents, waited over 35 minutes for my number be called, after a while nothing was called near my number. I needed to go to the restroom cuz after driving over an hour or so from OC, I had the need to go to the restroom, when I came back I saw my number had already barely passed, and requested to please be recalled in view of the situation and approached two clerks who said, I might be next, they reset the letters with digits putting me in the bottom of the list without justification or explanation, i am writhing this review right in the moment when all these is taking place. I am about to request to speak to a supervisor and see if I can find someone that will make sense and be reasonable in view of these events. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL had me pay twice for my birth cetificate totalling over $60.Had to drive all the way from my home in Nevada to pick it up in person because my ID and social security card along with a NOTARIZED form for the clerks office apparently was not enough identfying information for them to find me in the system via mail.Went to the clerks office expecting not to pay because it was their mistake!I did not even tell the women any information except for hand her my ID and she found my birth certificate right away!She told me i would have to pay again!Because I put the wrong names for my parents on my mail request form.Hmmmm thats interesting because when i came in office i put the SAME EXACT NAMES AS I DID ON MY MAIL REQUEST!Very displeased hope i NEVER have to come back here again SCAMMED ME OUT OF A LOT OF MONEY JUST FOR PROOF I WAS BORN...

I can only speak as to the mail in service for obtaining a county licence since that is the only times I had any business with them, but I will say as far as that is concerned I printed up my application for licensing and the website was helpful in explaining the process even gave me a checklist to make sure I sent everything I needed including the correct fees, when I sent it all in they were very fast getting it back to me with an explanation on why they sent it back to me "I filled out one line wrong lol" but also we're very good at explaining why it was wrong and what I needed to put on that line then I sent it back and got my license back from them in less than 2 weeks even though the website said to allow 4 to 6 weeks for processing so over all I give...
