I'm not going to give any stars to for food, service or atmosphere. This place was a joke or maybe i should say the staff this night was not what I would call grade A .. we took our great granddaughter out to dinner at this establishment (her choice) guest that attended were her best friend the mother and sister, her Mother and me (great grandmother) her Father and his fiancee.. Service: we were seated a few seconds after we arrived the was great(2 points) we sat there a good 7 minutes before our server Came over to see if if we wanted appetizers and refreshments, it took a good 10 minutes before our drinks came.. after the drinks came it took another 5 minutes before our server took our appetizer order.. when we ordered our appetizers stuffed mushrooms, matzorella sticks and lobster dip. The stuffed mushrooms had a hair in them.. they were removed and we were not charged for them (they brought another order in place of the first ones.. now it's time to order our meals.. we waited (I kid you not at least 30-35 minutes before our meals started to come out (when we arrived we were the only party in that section of the restaurant by the time we started to get our meals 4 tables had been seated and received food before we did.. Ok now when you order a meal with sides you would expect the sides would come the same time your entree was served, one of the guest finished his entree (surf and turf) before he got his side (baked potato) as 2 other of our guests had the same thing happen to them (another late baked potato and another side of shrimp scampi of another guest was brought very late.. Now here come the kicker.... when the server was ready to present the bill I called her over and asked her to run 2 gift cards I had before she presented the bill, she said ok.. after paying the remaining portion of the bill (minus the amount of the 2 gift cards) I asked if the establishment honored military discount she said yes so I asked if she could honor it for us and she said sure.. then she comes back to the table to say she could not honor the military discount without voiding out the 2 gift cards I gave her(so I would lose that money) she said she would have to refund the entire bill and start over.. So my question is why could the establishment just re-ring up the bill minus the gift cards.. I have been to this place many time before, but will not patronize this establishment ever again.. and will so discourage my family and friends to never patronize this place.. So Red Lobster I give you a big ZERO because you did not do what you said you could do.(give a military discount) either you don't know how to remedy a situation or you were just to...
Read moreI generally love Red Lobster so was happy to go with my niece. My first mistake was not requesting a different waiter since the man we had had really strong cologne on. My niece and I are both very sensitive to things like that.
The restaurant was not busy, to the point that when we were seated, we were the only ones in the room. Our waiter was a little slow but we weren't in a huge hurry. We got our drinks and they were fine. We were finally able to place our order. We ordered the shrimp scampi with two sides and added a lobster tail. Since she wanted lobster but didn't want the steak and lobster meal. The two sides were baked potato for me and she got their fries.
While we were waiting for our food, the hostess brought another group and sat them literally at the booth next to us. Nevermind there were literally like at least 12 other tables not next to us. At least one of these women spelt like she had bathed in cheap perfume. It was nauseating. We were both already not feeling great due to our waiters cologne and this was to much. Fortunately they asked to be seated at a table with more space across the room. That was great as we were going to ask to be moved because of the smell. Sadly, the smell did not go away even after they moved. This is a person problem, not the restaurant btw.
Our food arrived, I had asked for butter and sour cream for my baked potato, our waiter forgot it. It then took him just over ten minutes to bring me some. The butter he brought was nasty. It had melted and separated. Another 6-7 minutes to get fresh butter. The shrimp scampi was good and was a good amount. Once I was able to eat my potato it was ok. If it hadn't taken so long to get the butter and sour cream it would have been better and hotter. The lobster was really good. I was pleasantly surprised. We are used to fresh out of the water Maine lobster, but this was probably the best lobster tail I've ever had on the West Coast. The biscuits were, as always, very good. The fries were not really good at all and we ended up not even eating them.
I will go again, but it...
Read moreTonight we went to red lobster and had an awful experience. We had a large party of 22 for a birthday party. When we got there it started of ok with ordering drinks. But after that it went down hill. When we ordered we had separate checks so we tried to order for our children when we ordered our food they said no they would not do that and they would take the order when they got to the children and they would separate the checks at the end. So the waiters left they were gone and we did not see one for another 45 minutes, When they brought out food. They did not bring us the rolls they usually serve or anything. We finally received our food and the bisquits. We ate, then waited another 30 min when they asked if we wanted doggy bags, we got our food into our doggy bags. They were supposed to go sing happy birthday to my nephew we waited another 10 Minutes to see if they would bring our check, sing happy birthday anything. Nothing happened, finally I asked to talk to the manager and complained. Not 5 minutes after they came out to sign. Happy birthday. Mean while my sister who is a restaurant manager somewhere else was cleaning up our dishes, which is what the wait staff should be doing. We asked for our checks so now it was time for them to figure out the bill. What a mess they had to ask everyone what they had and who was on what bill which should have happened at the beginning. The waiters could not get it straight they kept Messing up the checks it took about 20 Minutes to figure it out. We got there at 625 and didn't get out of there till 915. I will not be going here again. We went to chili's down the street with same amount of people 2 weeks ago and got excellent service and waiters who actually waited on us. Also don't order the Santa fe tacos. The lobster was was over cooked and there was only a small amount on a bed lettuce...
