I was here in the 1990's, when it was known as Dahl's Market. I enjoyed the shopping experience, and was glad to look upon and browse the in-stock produce. Pepitas, or pumpkin seeds out-of-the-shell, roasted and salted were a purchase, and years later I learned it is a positive constituent for male fertility, proven. However, I am now age 53, still on my own, single. My 54th birthday recurs annually/just so happens to be on United Nations Day 10/24/2021, a holiday that is now known to approaching its 50th birthday, which means it was officially declared as a true, recognized holiday beginning October 24th, 1971.
I distinctly remember the internal design of this business, the aisles and more. It was very much like an indoor SUPERTIANGUIS, although not vast, but just right for the population score, then and now for Oak View, CA., U.S.A.. There was one more thing I remember when I was leaving out in the parking lot. A tremendous blue flash lightning strike was momentously noticed off to the northeast. Not many happen like that, much like an ultramarine blue. Well, I now can think of Little Caesar's Pizza in Camarillo, CA., my first blue serviture served from there in the year 1986 or 1987. A distinct memory of who has served, name and...
Read moreI have shopped here for a long time because it's close but I have finally had it. I want to like this place, the people that work here are nice but everything is over priced, marked incorrectly or they over charge you at the register, sometimes by a LOT! I'd like to think this is by mistake but it happens often enough it seems to be by design. If you choose to shop here... ALWAYS ASK FOR A RECEIPT. Prices only go up, the only deal you will find is on expired food and the produce is the saddest I've seen. Almost anywhere is cheaper and in the Ojai Valley... that's quite an accomplishment. At this point, the only good thing they have going is the Q-time meat department but they will be jumping ship soon. I hate leaving bad reviews for local businesses but this owner is doing things wrong and they only seem to be interested in trying to...
Read moreThis review is extremely late. I've been camping at Lake casitas for over 10 years now and come to this market every time. Beer, wine, and liquor selection are absolutely fantastic. Beyond alcohol at the meat counter, we get their sausages. Love there hot Italian and chicken jalapeno. I pre-order a dozen of each when we get up there and pick up the day before we leave. (Usaually camping for a week). I ask them if they could separate into packages of three each and freeze. Their always accomidating and willing to do that. I have never encountered a rude staff member here and who I think is the owner/ manager. Always kind...
