My name is David Raynor, I'm a 26 year old college student from Florida and while I no longer reside in the state still visit my family multiple times a year.

I'm currently sleep deprived and stuck in the airport as I'm writing this review.

After a brief visit with my family for my brother's graduation, my flight was due @ 7AM for my Atlanta layover to Hartford.

My dad overslept and as a result when I approached the check in desk they refused to give me any copy of a boarding pass. The young employee printed one out and the older women behind him looking over his shoulder insisted NOT to give it to me and told me to get it from them at the terminal.

I rushed down to the security check in and went through the process only to realize that in the rush I had entered the wrong security concourse.

I redirected to the correct one and the people in line were nice enough to let me go ahead so I can get to my flight quicker. At the terminal, the plane had just finished boarding and the woman at the counter rebooked me to 11AM.

I waited in the C4 terminal and the 11AM flight was not only delayed by an hour, but when they scanned my boarding ticket, they told me to wait for a seat to be assigned to me. There was no seat assigned to me as the plane was full. I asked her what am I going to do now that I couldn't get on this delayed flight to Atlanta. She took my previous boarding passes, threw them away and handed me a receipt she scribbled "C8 @ 2:00PM." This not only was a new flight another 3 hours away (bear in mind I have been here since 6:30AM) but I was uncertain how I was going to have my layover addressed. I was running on little sleep and asked the woman at the counter to explain it to me again, she used lots of numbers and variables and spoke very fast as if she was trying to get me out of her way so she could proceed with other matters. When I still had questions, she seemed annoyed that I would not leave her alone, looked over to the other passengers who had been waiting, and expressed aloud, "I can only use SO MUCH of my voice!" I was scared and didn't want to press the situation further so I wandered off to the terminal C8.

I spoke with the woman there who I could tell was in a much nicer mood. She explained to me that I would have to return to the terminal at 2:00PM for my flight to Atlanta, and the Atlanta airport would then book the layover to Hartford. I thanked her and said she was the first person who seemed genuinely nice and I nearly started crying in front of her.

As I type this, it is 12:09PM I'm still waiting to see if the 2:00PM plane will have any availability. I am tired and exhausted and find this to be the worst airport experience I have ever had. Every other experience with this airport in the past (I travel here a lot) was never this negative and tells me that a lot of the people here do not seem to care or show sympathy for someone who simply wanted to get to his plane on time but was unable to. Everything else with my vacation and seeing my family and my kid brother graduate high school was seamless up to this point.

UPDATE 5/20/2024: I sat there for the remaining hours. I was extremely exhausted and overstimulated with all the crowds around me. I noticed that same woman who'd expressed difficulty to me was working in and out of terminal C8 for some time. I avoided her. I never got her name.

As more time passed and I noticed she had left, a lovely woman named Jessica saved my life. I told her what happened and she had me set up for the incoming flight to Atlanta with a reserved seat and everything, even set me up with a seat request ticket for my layover flight from Atlanta to Hartford. I think Jessica is truly commendable and was a Godsend for my situation. She did everything to assure I was taken care of, and thanks to her I am now currently home.

I have received a reply from the airport on this review to reach out and distribute the flight numbers from this experience and I have done so to the best of my abilities. I hope this negative experience can help...

Fly Breeze Airlines Supervisor at RSW knocks RSW down to a 50 in my book. I am appalled that this Outstanding Airport would allow such unprofessional Fly Breeze Airlines could be allow tA Airlines stewardess Supervisor Polley or Polly or however is spells her name by targeting RSW visitors to use there beautiful International Airport to let such a person to even past TSA and NSA test. Fly Breeze and or Breeze Airlines to work in there Establishment since RSW has to follow strict guidelines of FAA and other Federal and State Governments working with this Top Notch Airport to allow this supervisor Polly on July 16 2025 from Fort Myers Florida to Charleston South Carolina to fly across the D section to load on the plane with a 9 year old girl and her 52 years old retired sergeant major and another elderly lady in front of us be pulled out of line and look at what the elderly woman carry on bag(s), (as my daughter and me and many others) ,and whispered to the elderly woman to go ahead and load on board of plane and we were already sent 4 to 5 different delays for flight back to Charleston South Carolina and then a so-called Supervisor Polly said $75 for my carry on and then said no... I'm gonna charge you 151.00 for my carry ons which I flew in from Charleston South Carolina that morning to Fort Myers Fla with same carry ons without making a payment, Moving forward she said she didn't care embarrassing me in front of my daughter and other passengers and then took our flights out of the system and said you pay or y'all get left here at Fort Myers Florida International Airport. She violated the FAA US Code 49 Chapter 441 and many more. I paid so we could have our flights put back on the flight I already paid for and charged me additional 151.00 to fly home. Not only is this breaking so many rules on a moral standpoint of you as business with a customer but also violating the FAA rules of government rules set so there is no confusion no matter what they want to say their rules are because their rules obviously change person to person due to how they target individuals at fly breeze Airlines with supervisor Polly that was there on July 16th 2025 at 830 to 9:30ish p.m boarding our flight heading back home. I really hope that they don't allow her back in that airport as well as she gets fired and she needs up training if she's not going to be fired but she definitely needs to be demoted because when you have people like that that's very unprofessional It can cause a lot of chaos and it's already chaotic as it is in an airport but then when you pull people aside take them off of the itinerary then threaten them and then bully them to pay more money is like a modern day thug wearing a airline clothing working for an airline inside of an airport that falls under government and state...

Had a flight and everything got super messed up. My brother was put on standby for our connecting flight and the united assistant refused to tell us that (he said the people in the Houston airport would give him his ticket while my other brother and I had no problem getting our tickets for the connecting flight), our flights were delayed, then cancelled, then once we found the connecting flight and got to the airport, 45 minutes before we boarded, it again got delayed another three hours. In addition to this, the security lines for the gates are right next to the lines where people leave their gates- and while I was in the security line, a man leaving the gates tried to shout over to security “someone just came through this way” and all security shouted back was “keep moving” (he had to have said this THREE times and everytime he said it the security guard just yelled this louder). Then we all just started laughing in the security line because ???? are they really not going to do anything about that at all?? So basically, most of the things that happened in this airport were due to delays and stuff but honestly, if the customer service didn’t absolutely SUCK then I wouldn’t have cared about this at all. Lastly, we decided to just protect our peace and take a flight a different day, so I tried to tell this to the lady at the desk so that I could get my checked bag back. I have no idea what this girl was even saying (like genuinely the experience was that mind numbing) but she basically did not want to have to get my bag so I would had to wait days or maybe weeks to get all my luggage. THANK GOD there was a man named Kevin who worked here and he overheard all this. He immediately helped me to get my bag (which was already on its way to being boarded so I know he had to have hustled to get it) So thank you Kevin, you deserve a raise because you were genuinely the only person who worked there that was actually willing to help (without Kevin I would also be giving google itself a bad rating because then I would’ve wanted to give this place zero stars). Thank you...

For someone who lives half their life on the road and in the sky, airports stop feeling like destinations and start feeling like chapters. RSW - Southwest Florida International - is one of those rare airports that gets it right. As someone who regularly transports snowbird vehicles between the seasons, I’ve come to know this airport like an old friend. From the ease of rental car returns to the calm, efficient TSA lines, it’s clear the people running this place value time—and travelers. The terminals are bright and clean, with just enough breathing room to pause between flights. There's a rhythm here: golf bags being wheeled to check-in, families chasing last-minute boarding calls, and the slow but certain hum of Floridian departures - where palms wave goodbye from the parking lot. I’ve arrived here on sleepless mornings and departed in golden twilight, the scent of sunscreen still clinging to clothes, the ache of another goodbye settling into the chest. And every time, this airport delivers what it should: peace, predictability, and a soft landing - or takeoff - when you need it most. Pro tip: If you’re renting a car or picking up, give yourself a few extra minutes to watch the palm trees sway outside the terminal. There’s something grounding in that moment - between journeys, between seasons, between lives.

Très bel aéroport, facile d’accès, beaucoup de stationnement et bien aménagé. Les espaces à l’intérieur pour attendre les passagers sont propres et confortables.

It does the job better than most. There are many other airports I prefer over this one for shopping, restaurants, other things like that. Its fast and simple. The security lines are pretty ineffiecient. Each concorse has each its own security line which is annoying when you have a connection, you have to exit the concourse and redo security again. Also, when you have a long layover and need to stretch out, you are limited to the concouse. For example to eat in the C concourse for me it was either fancy sit down food or fast pizza. No in between. Quite annoying. Also, there are no outlets, the two I used did not work. Very limiting in those terms. I really do like this airport for its simplicity. Update 1/2019: They have done some interim improvements in the terminal such as more outlets and water bottle fillers, but still the security line ranks to be the most inefficient and slow in the US. Larger airports seem to handle a larger amount of passengers better that this smaller concourse. The TSA Precheck line was at a standstill because the other line was out of control, the weird part was they were not even running the precheck checkpoint, rather cramming everyone into one checkpoint, pretty awful if you ask me.
