Sbarro — Restaurant in Florida

We were taking flight from Fort Myers to Atlanta on 5/23/25 in the evening. I bought a spinach stromboli. There was a black lady working there. She literally checked the strombolis with the spatula tongs, picked, heated and gave me. I opened the box, there were two strombolis instead of one. When I took the bite, it was literally hard as a ROCK and I couldn't chew it at all. I went back and she saw me and the box and asked, "I gave you two?" She knowingly gave me the stale pieces. I told her these are hard as rock, how old are these? She said, I will give you another. I asked her are all others the same? She didn't respond at all and started talking to a colleague in spanish who was stocking the fridge with drinks. Then she called her manager and told her something in spanish (on purpose) and they gave me a refund. I am not sure why she was saving the better strombolis, may be to take home after the day since it was evening. The refund receipt has the name "Januaria" not sure if it was her name or the manager. But she was awful. The manager was not bad, she was polite and...

All the bad reviews from years ago to current are the same, and accurate.

Under/over cooked, no consistency, or it’s not even put out in the first place. Very real possibility of no food.

Staff doesn’t care/lazy/just there to collect a check, without any effort.

Soda/pop machine broken, have to buy the bottles that are room temperature. Put a sign up that it’s broken, so we don’t get to the register and have to walk through the line of people and luggage to get a bottle.

Ownership: don’t give me the same response “we take this to heart” you don’t care. It’s 100% obvious. As long as you’re in the concourse, nothing is going to change.

I used to go to Sbarro when I was in Chicago and never found one after moving to Boston. I found this outlet in the Florida airport and was so exited to try it after 2 years. Such a disappointment! The cheese slices I was given was like a cardboard. I complained that I can't even bite it and the manager replaced it with another slice. It was the same too but at least could bite. The Chicken stromboli I ordered looked fresh. But when I took a bite, it was cold. Felt embarrassed and...
