I visited this small store looking for some nice souvenirs while staying at the park. When my family and I entered the store, there were some ladies having a conversation that quickly turned racist and demeaning towards people of color. I truly believe in free speech and support it but, having to experience the shop employee entertain and engage in such a conversation that spewed hatred towards outsiders and tourists, made me very angry. It is the tourists that keep the park alive as well as the store. It is the indigenous people that preserved the area for a millennia, shed blood sweat and tears so that you could have some culture and artifacts to marvel at.
