Borrego Outfitters may be the biggest surprise in Borrego Springs. Kind of hidden away in the back of "The Mall" at first glance it is just another souvenir/out door shop. Don't let first impressions fool you. They carry only quality brands of outdoor gear and clothing. Ex Officio, Columbia, Royal Robbins, Kuhl, just to name a few. With an excellent inventory that even REI might envy. Plus they have a nice collection of wines and other goodies you might need at your lodging or campsite. Great place! I forgot my running shoes in San Diego. I was bummed out and considering driving back to get them. However, I stopped in and found that these guys have a great shoe selection, mostly geared towards hiking, but they did have a running option...and they had it in my size! The prices are also very reasonable. I went in to Borrego Outfitters to find a pitcher. The young lady that was there to help me was very attentive and answered all my questions. I wandered through the store, and found a t-shirt for my wife. Traveling through Gift Stores it's hard to find something unique and Borrego Outfitters certainly has some unique clothing. I would highly recommend a stop at Borrego Outfitters anytime your in Borrego Springs. Their hours are limited dudakov it. And they handle mostly outdoor active wear...
