Happy Barber — Local services in San Diego

My review was for a single barber, so other barbers might be OK.

My haircut was extremely rushed (15 minutes) and looked nothing like what I asked for. I provided photo reference of a mid-fade and asked for longer on top with some texture/thinning. My barber said "that's all styling; you can do that at home". That should've been a red flag, but I was in a rush. What I got was a very high undercut with no fade, no texturing, and only about an inch on top.

There was also no cleanup afterwards (no blow dryer to dust off and no razor for lineup). I got the sense that this was an assembly line and not a proper barbershop.

For 20 bucks I suppose you get what you pay for. Just be warned that if you have something specific in mind, you might not get...

I don’t know where these “1-star, review-rating” customers are getting their haircuts, but it ain’t at Happy Barber. The entire staff is friendly and welcoming. Although I usually go to the same barber at Happy Barber (because he knows how I want my hair cut), when he hasn’t been there, the barbers who have cut my hair, made sure I was happy with my haircut. If I wasn’t, they asked and then made sure they got it right. I have been going here since it was called "The Haircutters". Since I was afraid to get my haircut. I appreciate this place very much and the service provided is top notch! I'm always greeted when I walk in the door and thanked for my patronage on the way out. They have me looking GREAT for those dinner dates with The Queen.

Update: the Queen gave me a photo of the haircut she wanted for her son and they NAILED it! Bonus points for me.

Update 2: This place becomes like family after you come here long enough...Even when I come in without my son, they're always asking about "the little boy". Cant see myself going...
