Buttermilk pancakes mixed with strawberry and blueberry flavored liquid sugar syrup is the best with an ice cold glass of milk! We arrived on a Sunday afternoon. We were 2 out of 3 customers. We were seated immediately, served immediately, checked on frequently and all done with a smile. Our order consisted of chicken & waffles, pancakes, hashbrown, sausage links, and eggs. Each of the items were prepared like the picture in the menu. It's breakfast food that is decent. No cartwheels or food winning awards. What I thought to be creative was the "split decision combo." Have you ever couldn't decide between french toast or pancakes? Or bacon or sausage? Well, finally that dilemma is over! Service was personable, quick, professional and courteous. A plus at this location, is that there is only booth seating inside. Although patio seating is available. The location offers plenty of parking but if there is a crowd, you are going to feel it. There's limited seating, space between the seating aisles is limited for passing through and it's a small restaurant. Rubio's is much larger. Heck. Am/Pm across the street is much larger. Moving along without distraction. Kids menu, QR menu options, and hand held menus are available. Staff complies with Covid expectations from what I had observed. The restaurant was clean. Had I known about that roach incident noted in another review, I would have passed. There were no extraneous creatures in our food :) I eat at IHOP once a year. Breakfast competition is just too great and the prices are similar to better breakfast cuisine. However, I wanted the strawberry syrup that I'm sure my tummy will pay for later. Enjoy your meal.

First and last time ordering for pick up. At least if I was there in person I could send these disgusting pancakes back. I didn't take pictures of everything but the biggest problem were the pancakes. They immediately fell apart/split and got all crumbled like when trying to eat them. 4 of us had the classic buttermilk pancakes, and this happened to them all. The texture of the pancakes after putting the butter and syrup made them even worse. The spinach mushroom omelets were good, the other person loved the breakfast sampler and the other person said her chocolate-chocolate chip pancakes tastes like salt. Oh and they forgot to give us the whip cream for those pancakes and the Tres Leches, thankfully we had whip cream at home. The person that ordered the Tres Leches pancakes said they were dry. 👎👎

Really good breakfast! It's been a while since I've been to an IHOP, since the quality of both food and service had diminished so much. Glad to say both have improved greatly! Order the French toast combo with scrambled eggs, hashbrowns and bacon. The French toast was really tasty, soft and flavorful. The eggs were cooked well as were the hashbrowns too. The bacon was a little less cooked than I prefer (I like it almost burnt and crispy) but still good. The customer service was fantastic! Our server was not only very friendly but also check up on us quite a bit (but not too much were its annoying). Happy to say, I'll be back again. 👍😁👍

I have eaten at this IHOP several times, over the last year, with a couple friends who invited me out to eat there ; I also ate there a couple of other times very late at night. Since, I used to live in Linda Vista - which is about five miles away - I've seen this IHOP hundreds of times however, I heard that they specialize in serving breakfast and I'm not a "breakfast person." The first time that I ate there, with my two friends, I had some kind of "Denver Omlette" and I thought that it was very good. ( Their menu specializes in different types of pancakes and many "breakfast specials."). Their prices all range from about $8 to $12 and they have a kid's menu too. They had good coffees - with refills - and several choices of teas ( regular and herbal), as well as orange and a couple of other juice choices too. Their building is one of IHOP's original A- frame structures and it's been at that same location for quite a few decades. The restaurant itself, was extremely busy during it's peak breakfast hours of about 07:00 and 11: 00 hours and several times there were so many people there, that some were waiting both inside and outside just to get seated. It is also a very popular family style restaurant, so I found the atmosphere to be one of noisey children, as well as a "social meeting place" for a number regular customers ; many knew the servers by name however, IHOP's been around for a long time. The place was so busy, that the wait to get seated, then served, was at least 30 minutes or more. There was plenty of parking however, after a few times, I just never went back there again, as it just wasn't my kind of place and we all have our special preferences. There's an excellent "county style kitchen" about 1/2 a mile west, off of Balboa and Genesee, that's a lot better and they cater mostly to seniors. I did go to IHOP alone several nights, back during February and March of 2017. Actually it was very early in the morning and there were only a few people there. My servers were actually very rude yet, I don't really know what I did to deserve such despicable treatment? I rarely ever go out to eat at night - especially very late - however, I was just finishing up a project. I really thought that I'd pass this review up but, since I was in that area a few days ago - trying to run an errand, which turned out to be another dismal failure - I thought that I'd post it, just in case I wasn't the only one who thought that IHOP wasn't everything it's been played up to be. I stopped to get a hamburger at the Habit BURGER GRILL and it was...

So we went in this evening to have dinner. Thinking it would be a great. When we got there, there was only 2 tables filled. So we had just beat the evening rush. But unfortunately, that was the only thing that was good. There was one cook and one waiter on., who doubled as the cashier, and host. I thought it was gonna be good because it was the last time I came. But that was a while ago. I ordered the senior's fish-and-chips, and a side salad.. And my daughter ordered chicken tenders. We ordered two pepsi's because they didn't have coke. The waiter gave us 2 diet Pepsi's that were flat. We had to call the waiter back to change them out. In the meantime, 5 more tables showed up to eat. We warned the table next to us that they should go to. Denny's instead, they didn't listen. It took 45 minutes to get the food. And it wasn't even what I ordered. He had put in shrimp and chips order instead of fish-and-chips. Said I would have to wait for the fish to come to the table. I had to tell the waiter that he forgot my salad. He just said oh or something stupid and came back twenty minutes later with it. No croutons, no cheese, no dressing, just a pile of tomatoes and red onions sliced whole. Fifteen minutes later the fish arrived with no tartar sauce. Meanwhile, my glass of pepsi was empty, and at the edge of the table waiting to be filled, it never was. I finally gave up an ask for a to go container and some tartar sauce so I could eat it at home tomorrow. We get to the counter and hes charged me for the shrimp and French fries instead of the fishing chips. That I told him it was wrong. He told me that it was the same price and I said. No. The fishing chips is $10.49, not $14.99. Like you've charged me. I also asked to speak to the manager. He said they had already gone home for the day. No tip for the waiter and we left tomorrow. I'm going back to talk to the manager about the meal I had to pay for the took an hour and was wrong. I won't be going back...

The food that I ordered was really good. It was the "BOMBDIGGITY"! That means the food was that good. Other than that it was cool, but there is room for improvements. It was Veterans Day when I went in, and I'm a Veteran. The Red, White, and Blueberry pancakes was a pretty good deal, but that can be improved. You should at least give the Veterans seconds and/or thirds, or let them take their food with them if they wanted to, or had to, without charging. That should be free as well. Also, you should give the Veterans more deals, way more deals than just the slab of 3 pancakes for free only the one time that they come in and eat. They should be offered seconds and thirds if they want it, not just that one little meal and then off they go. You should have more food deals than just the Red, White, and Blueberry pancake deal, and more than just 3 pancakes if they wanted or needed more, without any charges. The Active Duty, Reservists, and the Retired, Veterans. I am grateful, not trying to complain if that's what it sounds like. I'm just giving suggestions. IHOP, I'm telling this to you, too, especially you. I'm grateful, and Thank You, for doing this on Veterans Day, and I'm glad you're allowed to do this. Please continue to do this every year, and on other days, keep on offering Military Discounts. If you haven't been offering Military Discounts already, please start. Most definitely keep doing the free deal on Veterans Day, but please offer and give more deals and quantities for free. If a person does have to pay for a certain thing, it should be a one time pay only. If they want a refill or refills, then they should get it, at no extra charge at all. The refills...
