The pop-up experiences at this Hello82 location are lackluster at best, but beggars can’t be choosers. While I would love for this shop to be like the one in LA, I’m happy we have at least something in SD. It’s fun to get freebies, buy merch, and trade with other fans (when there is a big crowd). The quality of the pop-ups have also slowly increased, like the latest P1Harmony pop-up was very cute and felt more interactive. But it can sometimes feel like the team slapped a bunch of posters on the wall and called it a day. The staff is also very kind and chill, except for one employee. He was really rude to two different friends during two different pop-ups. I was baffled each time he spoke. Genuinely the worst human to be working a customer-facing role.
Overall, this is my favorite pop-up location because it is the only location that does this type of thing in SD. I would jump ship in a heartbeat, based on that one employee’s behavior alone, and I’d rather go to the LA location if I were that dedicated. But, well, I’m not. So here’s hoping that the quality (on all fronts)...
Read moreAbsolutely awful experience! I went for the Baekhyun pop up expecting it to be smooth but it was worse from the start. While this doesn’t count for a review, an employee almost ran their car into me as I was approaching the building and showed no remorse for doing so. When I arrived to start the line, they informed us that they ran into technical difficulties and would be ten minutes late to opening. Ten minutes turned into twenty whole minutes of waiting just to be sneered at by an uneager staff who looked like they wanted to be somewhere else. The first ATEEZ pop up, which was in the middle of nowhere, had more enthusiasm than this! Instead of hiring based on a popularity contest, hire people who actually want to be there!!! The space is drab and boring given the single two tables of albums and sparse decorations on the walls. I’m only here for the photocards now, not...
Read moreI was in town visiting and there happened to be a TXT pop-up that weekend so I stopped by! The staff were all super friendly and kind but unfortunately the pop-up/ store overall was a bit disappointing. There were barely any decorations, no merch or anything. I had to Uber ~20 minutes there and definitely felt like I wasted my time. Still bought an album to support but wouldn't recommend going out of your way for...
