I have taken a minimum of six to twelve lessons per year from Mike Wydra for 28 years straight. While some of the instruction tips and techniques have changed slightly, it is amazing how consistent he has been over the many years of instruction. Mike is extremely knowledgeable regarding the current golf world relating to new techniques, swing analysis and current golf instruction. Mike also plays golf often and very much enjoys the game. I video record all my lessons for review later. Mike is very technologically savy with swing mechanics and analysis. For me, I miss a lot of the tips and helpful instruction during the lesson and it is very helpful to review days and months after. I referred my son and son-in-law to Mike recently and both of them, after just a few lessons were much improved in their play. Highly recommend Mike as an instructor just taking up the game or a golfer looking to improve their...
Read moreI have been a student of Mike’s for approximately five years and when I came to him, I was a 90s to 100 average golfer. He helped fix the problems with my swing. He is very knowledgeable and real easy to work with the knowledge of the game he has is phenomenal, help me learn how to CHIP better hit knockdown shots hit draws, and fades better than those what I thought were draws and fades. I hope you’ll enjoy the same experience that I’ve had over the years and the friendship. PS the on course management playing with him help me understand the approach to the greens better than I ever thought before It was nice to get that perspective of the game one on one that I thought I had From someone who knows that what I need to understand to be better on my approach to the game I now shout in the low 80 & high 70 on a good day He also has a vast knowledge of equipment these days to help you make sure you have the right fit...
Read moreI first met Mike with lessons in rhw mid-1980's. Extraordinary knowledge, passion for the game and teacher role. Through Grip/Alignment/Posture/Swing, Mike engrained in me an appreciation and love for the game. Since then, I have seen Mike with his uncanny ability to work with and relate to all levels of players and skill sets: the junior golfer, the high school competitor, his success 35 years as UCSD golf coach winning a few Nat'l Titles, low handicappers, and senior citizens. Mike's lesson on the course was a recent birthday treat, dwarfing the mere use of a caddy, and intensely beyond learning at a driving range -- an opportunity no golf enthusiast should hesitate to...
