Of course with the power outage it led me to utilize my points and stayed in San Diego while working on a case Country Inn & Suites By Radisson was on point starting with Cheyane, the supervisor leading by example being very professional and recognizing as a Diamond member awarding me the gifts a Diamond member often receives thank you. Jessica In-processed me and giving me proper directions to where I needed to go for food, I was so drained from the power outage up all night so I was drained, therefore needing to shower and lay Day and rest and I definitely did I slept like a baby, thank you Country Inn and Suites San Diego, thanks for your staff providing comfort kindness and professionalism at a time truly needed. I woke up around 11pm at this hungry lol and I went downstairs to see the bar area full of professionals having a great time, I went over to Eneida at the desk and was asking her a question about parking if I left for food and parking lot full where can I park was there an overflow, mind you I'm rested no cap on my head all my grey showing in my hair which is very very new to me embracing my natural grey and my natural nappy curls lol with this said Eneida told me you are so pretty Eneida that made my day and gave me the confirmation I needed being the sista was ready to color my hair and go back to a relaxer after five months your compliment was right on time and much needed because having my natural hair is much healthier and I thank you for your kind words it was absolutely right on time for me to hear.

EDIT I work nights, the day after posted this, housekeeping kept knocking on my door until I woke up while I had my do not disturb sign on. AFTER the hotel replied. HOUSE KEEPING HERE IS A JOKE I will start this with the girls at the desk are awesome. After staying here for work for a few weeks here's what's normal, fire alarms going off. 3 times so far, that's a fun way to wake up. Attached are pictures of how I found rooms upon my arrival. I don't complain because work pays but if I was paying out of my pocket I wouldn't enjoy finding clumps of hair, or people's week old forgotten I've cream in a warm container. What prompted me to write this was being woken up by house keeping ( literally screaming jokes and laughing at the top of Thier lungs because the other cleaner was on the opposite site of the hallway) I literally mean opposite side of the hotel, maybe 100, 110 yards away. So long story short, if you plan on staying here pay attention, you can likely get your stay comped because of housekeeping not doing Thier job. Attached are photos of the old ice cream, hair I picked up when I got the keys I dropped on the floor and the hallway in question. One person was standing where I took the picture, yelling to someone all the way at the end of this hall.

Wanted to take in a quick overnight trip to San Diego and Country Inn and Suites was a very good pick as our place to stay. Staff was friendly and professional, rooms were quiet, and the breakfast buffet was stocked and well organized. The location is ideal because it is in a business park setting with a Chili’s bar and grill nearby. The lobby is clean and inviting and the pool area looks relaxing. They are currently renovating their elevators, but they are in working order. The location is ADA compliant and there is convenient disabled parking in the front. My only issue was the heating/cooling system. It seems to operate on a sensor so the fan would shut off in the middle of the night. As someone who appreciates a cooler sleeping environment and benefits from the white noise of a fan, that was my only minor concern. However, I was very pleased with our stay and will strongly consider returning to this location when we visit San Diego again later this year.

Please be aware that they are scammers here!! I stayed here for ONE night that costed me in the end $650. Yes you read that right. In that price included is a $250 fee for ‘damages’. The damages that were done were my dog whining for a few minutes bc my wife left the room to go downstairs to swim. I stayed in the room with my dogs and was taking a bath. I heard my dogs barking while someone was banging on the door. I couldn’t get up and get the door I was in the bath. I had no clue what to do in that situation but I was trying to calm my dogs down that were on edge from being in an unfamiliar place and were being protective of me. I didn’t have my phone on me in the bathroom so I get up shortly after to notice that the hotel tried to call me for a short period of time. (I want to put out that that there were other dogs on our hallway barking and whining louder than mine) but of course in the one who gets in trouble and called about story of my life. They had the nerve to call animal control on me trying to get my dogs removed the nerve, was told I can’t leave my animals unattended but they weren’t. I haven’t seen any paperwork that shows that I can be charged $250 for my dog So I called the front desk I asked how could I go about getting my refund for the second night that I haven’t even stayed was told that I would have to talk to the hotel manager. I couldn’t do it my wife had to who booked the room had to and she told me how RUDE he was to her. And he said “what’d you think was going to happen, did you think you would get away with this?” He was belittling to her the entire time tried to tell us that I can get charged for my dog barking and that’s a damage fee. Make it make sense. I have video recording of the front desk supervisor saying that “just because their pet friendly doesn’t mean they like dogs”. My poor dogs, and family was screwed over by these scum bags here. I have yet to hear any answer from there in regards to getting a refund for the $250 I was charged. I have been trying to dispute it and will probably get the short end of the stick. Guests were rude and wouldn’t let me and my friendly dogs get on the elevator and would close it on me. My dogs were made to sound like awful animals but I walked with them by several people when I was there a lot. My dogs have separation anxiety and how sad that this happened to me when I’m just trying to go to a funeral and figure things out. Since I was charged almost damn near $700 for ONE NIGHT it fu**ed me over so bad I had no money to return home after the funeral. Yes this $650 that I was charged was after the deposit fee was returned, etc. I have videos and pics of the room being left in original condition. PLEASE if you take anything from this just don’t to there at all. The room was very anticlimactic floors were gross, chair in room was gross, bed was hard as a rock. Nothing special about this at all to pay the $220 for the room at all not inc pet fee. Nothing worth that price at all. It’s crazy to me how it can be justified to have me penalized and charged for no logical reason other than made up bullshit but there can be people screaming next door to me and other dogs barking all up and down the hall. I’m disappointed. I not only lost a close family member & was already down but was inconvenienced and taken advantage of by these people. They have no plans to return my money nor any shame. How interesting that only good reviews are shown on here. They prob delete the bad ones about themselves, I unfortunately fell for it and thought they were good. I don’t want anyone else to fall for it. And for the love of god don’t bring your beloved pets here if they whine or accidentally bark it’s scary that someone thinks it’s okay to take a your fur baby away. Also I’ve heard that the employees go into rooms here and steal and now I’m curious after hearing them barking that way if that’s possible what happened I could’ve sworn I heard the door knob.

Update: they denied my claim for reimbursement which was recommended by their...

We stayed here last year and absolutely LOVED IT (5 stars see my previous review 9/23/17). So we booked a two night stay this year almost exactly one year later.  But things have changed...... drastically! As soon as we walked in you could feel the difference, didn't feel well kept, walls are  marked up floors are dirty, hallway dingy, elevator dirty very dull etc. Now about our room. We immediately realize the fridge doesn't work, okay no problem shrugged it off since we only had water to chill. Left hotel for the day. Exhausted we return and dive into the bed to find a blood stain on the sheet we cursed and screamed pulled the sheet off check to make sure rest of bedding is okay and go to sleep. Woke up due to a freezing room. Get up to change a/c temperature and as soon as we did a constant LOUD BANGING NOISE would occur that was unbearable and a/c wouldn't work unless it was on 72 so we turn it off til it got to hot and turned it back on to 72 to freeze our butts off again... repeat repeat. So now its morning and my husband turns on the shower gets in soaps up and turns the handle and it breaks. He comes out full of soap and says let's get the heck (revised wording lol!) out of this dump!!!! We are obviously very forgiving but this is totally unacceptable. We went to check out when we met Alyssa working the front desk and she listened patiently to why we were leaving and apologized and offered us a complementary upgraded room for our 2nd night. Now we had every intention of leaving this place and I have NEVER left a hotel in all the hundreds and hundreds of hotels we've stayed at even being dissatisfied with a room we just grinned and bared it but this was just completely unacceptable. Anyway we did take Alyssa up on her offer and it was only because of her and how she handled the situation very professional and very courteous that we stayed.  We were literally going to drive 6 hours back home and miss the event we came for. But you know my afterthought is we should not have been charged at all. Anyway I see Radisson took over this hotel and have to wonder how a hotel can change in just a year. I booked this a few months back AND husband is a rewards member and this is the room we got...yikes! BTW we were told this place was recently renovated which I don't understand because it was 100% nicer one year ago...

Facility & hotel is clean, food is decent, and staff was willing to let me check in early but that's where the good things stops. I did not have a pleasant experience staying here overall, and would not recommend this hotel to anyone, and here's why:

  1. I showed up early to see if I'm able to check-in early and was thankful that the front desk allowed me to, but my room card wouldn't work, so I had to head back to the front desk just to find out the front desk wrote down the wrong room #. Good thing nobody was in the original room I was trying to get in to.
  2. There's no room service, which is ok, so I went to the front desk to purchase some drinks and the process took over 5 minutes because the staff was not able to get the 2 items I purchased into the system correctly, meanwhile there's a lobby full of folks trying to check in behind me.
  3. My room's air conditioning did not work, I tried changing the temp from 72 to 69 and the temp never changed the few days I was there, but the fan kept running the entire time, VERY loudly.
  4. One of the days, I tried going to my room at 3:30pm and the cleaning person had just started with my room, no issues, so I left. When I came back to my room later that evening, there was a card in the key insert that said "Housekeeping was in progress", but she nor her cart was anywhere to be found, and get this, my room door WAS NOT SHUT!! So, after housekeeping was done, she did not close my door, meanwhile I had work property & valuables in the room. I didn't trust her anymore, so the next day I told her "please do not service my room today!!"
  5. Elevator is going through overhaul, and they do have signs that tell you about it, but it's still quite unsettling when you sit in the elevator for almost a minute waiting for the door to close, while you hope that you're not in a hurry, and it doesn't have to stop at any other floors before stopping at the lobby. And yes, I did try pushing the close door button or 1st floor button, nothing works but blind patience.

I didn't land at a 2 star review lightly, but after staying here a few days as the issues piled on, my satisfaction level drastically reduced. I'm not saying this is the worst hotel ever, but do not come here with high...
