University Square — Local services in San Diego

Time runs out but is never ending. All stories intersect as individuals and together. Nothing under the sun is new yet the world is full of possibilities and new wonders. I enjoy a good strip mall with the standard mixture of vendors and purveyors soliciting their goods in the name of the almighty, Capitilism. In other countries, a market is part of the heartbeat of the city and culture. In America, we pay homage to spending money the way we make it - in pounds of flesh. In my last visit, I parked my vehicle and purchased donuts and coffee. Then sat upon a nice bench, free of homelessness, and wept for the beauty and downfall of our kind. Private security roams the lanes of automobiles with a watchful eye. In a manner that an angel might be out doing God's bidding. An omnipotent being needing help is a good analogy for why corrupt corporations hire henchmen. Protection of their property, not you. In closing, not all is bleak. University Square is so close to our home that we visit its stores several times a week. Rite Aid Pharmacy and Vons are often the main attraction but you name it, most likely you can get it here at University Square - Dry Cleaning - Computer Repair - Sushi - Italian food - there is even an Urgent Care medical center. Anyway you get the idea, there are way too may shops and services to list. One of the really great things about University Square is the parking. The lanes are slanted, not perpendicular so parking is less of a problem. I wish more shopping centers would opt for this parking configuration; sure fewer cars can be crammed into a given space but consideration should be given to the overall ease of the parking experience.
