It has been brought to my attention that the owner of this company has been making TikTok videos of my Guinea pig that I donated by making my reasons why I donated her to be false. Also changing her name to my first name. I can see that you don’t believe me that she. Showed aggression in our home but to make numerous videos making fun of me and changing her name to my first name is unfair. Or maybe it was because I didn’t have any money to give her when she asked me to donate along with Peppa. I didn’t have any money at the time since I am a student on fixed income. I loved “Peppa” unfortunately she wasn’t friendly with us and my daughter that doesn’t mean we did not love and take good care of her. I can see the owner is in love with her and that makes me happy but to make me look like I’m making up the aggression and calling her by my name is unprofessional. I use to love going to this place but after what I saw on TikTok, I will no longer support this company. I am glad this was brought to my attention before I was going to bring by all our Guinea pig equipment and supplies we have left over. Since this place is only open 2 days a week I have not been able to get the time off from school and...
Read moreWe have adopted three guinea pigs from Wee Companions over the past year and a half. We had never had guinea pigs before. The volunteers (no paid staff) care very much about finding good matches for their small friends. The first time we came in to adopt, they gave us some hay to take home for a week, to make sure allergies would not be a problem. We also got to "audition" several animals to make sure our younger son, whose pets these primarily are, bonded with them. The Wee Companions volunteers are well informed about health and behavior of their animals, and they provide helpful handouts about feeding and care, veterinarian referrals, and a couple of Youtube videos on bathing and nail clipping. We continue to shop at Wee Companions for pellets, Vitamin C tablets, and hay, and also to board our pets there when we go on vacation. Highly recommended if you are thinking about making a guinea pig, rat, hamster, or rabbit part of...
Read moreWas excited to go and drove far out of my was to visit only to get denied entry with a mask at front door. They said they only do appointments now. So call ahead and schedule an appointment for only two days of the week they might be open because they will turn you away. Some one told me I could peep in threw a window. I only saw three people in there. I know it's due to covid but is it really so hard to put it somewhere on your Google maps profile or on the website somewhere in red font. I found this update no where on the website. I do want to come back but this was very inconvenient. The rescue looks Amazing. I do believe it's important to adopt over buying piggies at a pet store. Just please fix this Wee Companions! It's too late to tell someone...
